The Cost of Worry

(Introduction)

Worry not only creates illness but makes you a prisoner in your own body. The action of fear and worry stops the flow of life-giving energy in your home and the family’s health.

It is as if a brick wall forms in front of us, causing a shutdown of chi or energy. We can’t see right or left, and frustration fills our being. Dis-ease becomes the norm. It’s as if the breath of life is standing still and the stress of succeeding is the killer. Love what you can do and watch the return of joy enter your heart. This email is an example of driving yourself into an early grave.

Question 1:

Hi Caroline

My name is ____________ and I am a believer in Feng Shui. I am in trouble and I hope and believe that you can guide me to solve my problem as I have become very depressed and broke.

We (myself and my wife) purchased a condo (3 bedroom, double story) in August 22^nd, 2001, the address being ___________________ for our living, but as my wife is working (about 50 miles from this address) so we moved to a place near to a high speed rail line so that she can reach her school in time without much stress and travel, as she being a math teacher.

We want to rent that house, but no response since we moved from there. (We never lived or moved in this house but used to live on rent in the next block of the same condominium.) Because as we are paying the mortgage amount from August till today from our pocket and we are already under debit, we can’t afford to pay the mortgage, so we decided to sell it through a real estate broker, but no response.

Moreover my wife is having swelling (inflammation due to arthritis) and pain in both knees and she feels that she won’t be able to continue her service for long, making her more nervous that how the mortgage and rent for the apartment where we are living at present will be managed. I am working in a casino and my bad luck that basically I am a mechanical engineer having more than 30 years experience in different fields. The combined income of both of us is around $70K gross but the money is flowing out like water, which I can’t understand why it is happening like this.

The details of the present house is — it is 2 bedroom rented apartment on first floor (on the road level), the front door facing towards north — means when we enter the apartment our face is in north, then a small living room, after that a kitchen on the right hand and combined bath on the left. At the end two bedrooms and the road.

Will you be kind enough to solve my problem so that we can live in our lifestyle with prosperous and happy life.

Answer:

Thank you for your question. When doing a consultation, there are many aspects I need to consider before coming to the proper evaluation. Ages, children, parents, former homes and personalities of the clients.

Feng Shui works on the mental, physical, and the spiritual. It seems fear has overtaken the situation and remember, "going with the flow" is the first thing to consider. Other clues to consider, what is your belief about responding to life situations? Thoughts form every second in our minds. An example could be that instead of believing the worst will happen, just give the present problem a name, called new changes. This puts a positive spin on the current plan. I gave up planning my life many years ago and decided to let go trying to make the river flow my way. That’s when good things begin happening.

The house is you and reflects the family’s energy. What rooms in these homes are most congested? There is the first clue and answer to your question. Always use the front door for better energy connecting you to job opportunities. Are you willing to move to the best location for more pay? It seems you and your wife have a conflict about the future. Resistance to situations usually show up in the body language. Where does it hurt? Feng Shui and the bagua give us answers. Each qua is associated with a body part. Feet are located in the family section of the bagua or the middle left side of the house or houses in reference to the front door. Hip is connected to wealth or the far back left corner of the structure.

Is there any family conflict? Do you feel you deserve money?

These are the main areas, inside, outside, below and above your environment. Who lives overhead? This second floor above your condo reflects your spiritual self. If your neighbors are causing sleep disruption, lovingly place a mirror facing upward toward their living space, but only lovingly! As bad intentions come back at a later date. To sell houses, there are many things that I incorporate in the home. Place a note in the helpful people asking for the right people to buy the house. Intention in an honest approach must be in your heart or you can become stuck in the lesson. What lessons are being faced in life? In the note you might ask that the place be sold to the right person without any problems or complications, thus removing any negative karma.

The entry to any home must look very inviting inside and outside to enjoy prosperity. Red flowers invite chi in black pots, thus using the water element in the color of black and energy follows red.

Happy New Year.

I received your email and am trying to understand the meanings of your email. As you have asked about the children, I have four children — two sons and two daughters, the first and last one are sons and in between them are two daughters.

The eldest is going to be 31 years in February. He is married, has one son, first daughter is 28+ years and married. Both are studying in medical and trying to get the rotation, the second daughter and her husband both are computer engineers and have one three-month-old daughter. My youngest baby son is 22 years and is doing his final year medical. Will be getting his MD degree in July 2002.
