Peace Starts At Home 8-13-01 Every few months public television stations throughout the country hold pledge drives providing funds, as to continue bringing into your home quality programs for family viewing. Deborah Gee, a longtime student of his holiness Professor Lin Yun, Black Hat Master of feng shui has created a wonderful videotape of Professor Lin Yun working his ìmagic,î teaching individuals how to maintain balance in their environment. Deborah, a very well known bay area consultant of this art, also owns a video production company. The brilliance of Professor Lin Yunís observance of nature, captured by Deborah Gee and her crew, show his skills as a master of this technique. While humble but yet exalted in his knowledge, he stresses all schools of feng shui work. The Black Hat teachings seem to apply easier to western home adaptations. He finds it sad; much valuable time is spent arguing which school of thought is correct. I agree. After 2000 consultations, I have confirmation of peopleís successes daily. The end result is peace in the home, peace in the community and peace in the world. Professor and I spoke personally on this subject during a private discussion at a weekend workshop. His eyes shone brightly, firm yet yielding in his response to my question, ìWhat do you want me to write about?î He revealed his passion for everyone to stop criticizing the differences of feng shui schools (compass, form, intuitive, etc.) and focus on the benefits from its likeness. Use your own religion, your own symbols, and your own power to promote well-being in the world. Peace was the only issue of importance. Last week Deborahís assistant called to se if I was prepared for the onslaught of calls for consultations induced by the feng shui video being aired. Earlier this year I had been selected by Professor Lin Yun to assist Deborah and her colleagues accommodate the number of consultations that arise during a pledge drive. ìCertainly,î was my immediate response. In the past, only Asian masters were considered for determining your homeís destiny. During the early 1980ís, Professor Lin Yun brought feng shui to Berkeley and the United States and the rest is history. He realized this art of placement should be shared with the world. The US is such a melting pot of ideas, we are quick to assimilate positive ancient techniques and make them our own., From Greece to Africa and back to the Americas we as humans are always looking for harmony and balance. Being Caucasian wasnít an advantage to me. Slowly I have introduced feng shui to you through art, herbs and the media. Professor recognized this bridge of communication I had established between the races and religions during my teaching experiences. Sharing my life experiences with you has been a pleasure. My main qualification of lifeís journey is to tell you what not to do! I have a masterís degree in ìDonít dosî and Iím sorry to say Iím still adding to my list! After the first television viewing of Deborahís video production, the phone began ringing more than usual. What is this new interest in old ideas about? We as a nation are stressed to the max. As a people we have become spoiled with possessions. All of this excess amounts to clutter of the home environment, business troubles and ill health. The word clutter could be considered a noun and a verb; hence disorder or confusion. From foods, to offices and homes, we are drowning in excess. Abundance is wonderful if shared; overabundance is greed. The consultant is trained to see the difference. Where is your job opportunity blocked? Check the main entry or front door to the structure. Is the yard beautiful to the eye? The front of the home from left to right encompasses career energies. Do you have a home office? 70% of todayís home have a room for this service. A room close to the entry is the best location for money making; also the far back left corner of the house. Why? This is the section of the dwelling assigned for wealth and prosperity. Many of our clients have made several thousand dollars by simply moving their desk positions and plugging in a phone (communications symbol) machine on the correct side of a desk. These nine energies are provided to us on a simple grid made up over 4000 years ago by ancient ìengineers,î ìenvironmentalistsî and ìhealth practitionersî. Iím sure these male intellectuals had time on their hands since lower class people of Chinese descent werenít allowed to read or write thus allowing the upper class rulers to pursue these ancient texts of yin and yang or balance of masculine and feminine energies. These findings of light, dark, green, healthy forests animals and terrain proved beneficial for the existence of life. Todayís spaitten an easy to read book about a difficult subject. The signing was held at a unique shop where I love to go and hang out after a difficult consultation. This shop presents items that can be used for cures, correction and enhancements. Colors in every hue flood the space; silks flowing from the ceilings caress and guide you to other sections containing elements such as metal, wood, fire, water and earth. Fountains, bamboo, stones for grounding energy, books, glass, candles and scents from other worlds pull you into a meditative atmosphere. This popular shop has been feng shuiíd by one of my former feng shui teachers and the business is doing quite well. Classes and book signing shave been introduced to this shop enhancing it further. But this particular day, it was too crowded. The owner needs to expand her prosperity. Between the gift items and class expansion, the closeness of people and products has created clutter shutting down the necessary energy flow. My advice - either cut back on the merchandise or relocate. Is your home becoming flooded with too many possessions? Evaluate the situation. Changes will only improve your career, learning ability, family life, money flow, your reputation, love life, childrenís creativity and your playtime. Adjustments made in the front right side of your house will stimulate people to help you with business, products or finances. Is health a major concern? Look at the center of the bagua or your home for answers. Open your feng shui eyes and enjoy the balance of wind and water in your life. Pay attention to your heartís desire, for in this adventure when you find internal peace the chain reaction could bring world peace.
