Words of Wisdom from a Master
This month found me traveling to Boston, Massachusetts to attend Professor Lin Yuns yearly workshop at Harvard University. For anyone wanting to learn Feng Shui, the ancient Art of Placement, from a living Master, this is THE authority, on the subject. There are many schools of thought which have validity, and Master Lin is the first to say, we recognize all other schools on this subject and should not disclaim others opinions, as when balance and harmony is restored to homes, cities and nations through the balance of wind and water, we all benefit. All surviving civilizations have used a form of Feng Shui. China and India have documented the practice well.
Master Lins teaching schedule is grueling to anyone not knowing how to use the energies of Life Force or Chi. At seventy-five years of age, he continues to travel the world by invitation and practice what he preaches, using this invisible force to nurture and restore and balance his personal Chi. With meditation and special exercises, such a The Sunshine Buddha, stress is reduced. Sometimes during a class break you might see him outside in the sunshine, reaching up to the heavens, stretching toward the sun and then in an instant grabbing the suns energy and pulling it to his heart. It is also good to know that Feng Shui is not a religion, but was recorded by spiritual people. One valuable insight is, Professor always starts a class with saying, please use your own personal deity or God as a powerful source for visualization, prayers and meditation such as Jesus.
I have personally studied several schools of Feng Shui. I find them all fascinating. Many years ago I could only find one English-translated book on the subject, written by Sarah Rossbach, who had the privilege of taking Professor Lins first workshops in the United States. Now the number of books on the subject has ballooned to over three hundred or more. Many schools have sprung to life, as Westerners desire a more serene lifestyle. Some books are great, while others are just jumping on the bandwagon of the latest fad! What we didnt know in the 80s is Feng Shui is here to stay. Clients who have followed my suggestions continue to enjoy success and find great value in using a system that is thought to be between four to five thousand years old.
This week found me traveling to nearby Cambridge, Massachusetts on two missions. One was to attend priceless classes from a living Master at the Divinity School, and the second one was to do a Feng Shui consultation for a client, who through using Feng Shui was able to turn his company around and expand to China and now Boston. As I said before, he and his co-owner follow the methods, cures and corrections I provided, to change the course of their business. To have a consultation and not use the Feng Shui advice is like throwing the baby out with the bath water. This client takes the ancient system seriously, enough so that he keeps in contact with me and calls BEFORE making changes in the lobby, the desk positions of his main workers or expanding offices. The main building is over ten thousand square feet, while the Boston office is less than two hundred square feet. Both are equally important and I spent several hours finding the best location for the Boston facilities by studying aerial maps and the Atlantic Coast area. The port of entry and the Chi flow into the city are crucial. Waterways, roadways and airports play an important role for this company, just as important as the right foods for a healthy body. Unobstructed flow, of Chi or energy, to a human body, home or city is necessary for survival. (Continued)
