What Does Not Nourish You Depletes You

I received a lengthy email from a client this morning from the Midwest. She and her husband of 30+ years have taken my Feng Shui advice and run with it! They are very enthused and have done tons of work, but now are stalling a bit. She shares they are having old problems such as starting and then stopping large projects. As the bathroom, bedrooms, office, basement and living room are being worked on, with all the excess furniture and too much clutter not tossed in the beginning, they now have a huge mess stacked in the sunroom and kitchen area, which are all in the Partnership section, or far back right side of the house. Now the relationship is stalling and communication is blocked on how and what should be done next. A clearing of the mind is necessary to continue. They are also concerned about making money. They love their collections more than anything. I use to antique, so know the thrill of finding treasures, but did a life turnaround when I realized a lot of the stuff was keeping me from my destiny. Also she talked about changing the ceiling in part of the house. Here are some of my suggestions to the couple:

Congratulations on all your progress!

Remember when I reminded you not to do everything at once, you can get disoriented, dizzy and disorganized as clutter piles up in other places. It seems you have piled a lot in kitchen and sunroom. Not a place for clutter as this is your Marriage Gua! The more this improves the better off things will get.

If nagging begins then no projects will get done, as the throat begins to get blocked and anger gets stuffed, stomach aches and sickness are a result. So since I am not there to witness the process, I am not able to judge, who is pushing and who is pulling. You will have to determine this, and then let go and let God. Let each other make discussions, and then you have four arms to work and not just two.

When a bed is moved, it is a big thing. If it is the marriage bed, it also represents partnership and one drawer removed is like only having one lung to breath. One removed on each side is necessary for improvement for health. No headboard, no supporting yourself (money, marriage, health, etc.)

I haven’t heard anything about the pure quartz round faceted crystals going up! This was the first thing on the to-do list. You must have the energy of these tools to establish calm and stability. The “mandarin duck” staircase (where one goes up and the other goes down and are side by side) to the basement needs uplifting with a wind chime, and the ivy on the railing taped or wrapped around the railing is also for binding and growing marriage relationships.

You may use any silk flowers anywhere if they look real. Just replace them yearly or clean them when needed. I use them inside and outside for some cures, as I travel a lot. But have real plants where possible, such as bamboo, because bamboo is a cure for many things. I add the silk flowers to the plants to go with the seasons in the same pots as the annual plants (cure for money opportunities at the front porch). Black, blue or a combination of these colors represent the Water Element to the front door and money flows on Water.

The first rule of Feng Shui is "What does not nourish you will deplete you!" Excess things can rob you of new beginnings. The Chi goes into the items, gets stuck like cobwebs and clings to your being. Also stale relationships and gossip can bring you to a very low place and block any progress.

I am in the process of moving to Portland, Oregon as I am writing this. I am doing major decluttering, and I have only been in this house four years. Old socks, underwear, and night gowns were tossed last night as I watched TV. A huge box of still-good clothes was sent by UPS to relatives who requested a “care package.” Do one drawer at a time.

A church thrift store truck is already scheduled to pick up the extra bed frames, two good chairs I won’t need, a fold-out couch only three years old, and many other items. I love to give because it stirs the excitement of new surprises. They always come in many unexpected “packages.”

Simple and to the point for activating new money, you must first let go of old ideas and “listen” for new ones. Do your Feng Shui as I have instructed. To keep new money and contacts coming in, I toss or delete old files and old contacts. (Of course it is necessary to keep tax returns and other papers.) It is impossible to create new ideas when surrounded stuck Chi.

As soon as I move to a new location, I nurture and “cure” the Wealth section (far back left corner from the front door) and the heaven section called Helpful People and Travel corner (immediate far right corner) from the entry door of the house. Remember, you can also Feng Shui one room such as the office and Feng Shui a desk top. The Career section starts at your stomach when sitting at the desk. If your desk is old and your money is stagnant, treat your self to a new desk. No glass top though, as your “money” would leak through, and add lighting, lighting, lighting (Fire energy) to bring life to business. Make 27 cold calls or visits in one day or one week, just to say hello and not advertise. This is a great way to stimulate Water or new opportunities.

If confusion sets in, go to a place of worship. Ask the minister, priest or rabbi if you may come every day for a week or even a day. Sit in solitude and listen. Pray if you wish, but always listen afterwards. I usually “see” my answers and sometimes feel or hear them. I receive images of pictures to paint, or how to deal with a relative, friend or client. Business ideas or where to travel come to me also. Most blockages in my life are caused from judging others or keeping my mouth shut too long and then saying things in a hurtful way. God’s answers to me are related to my ego and giving compassion to those who are hurting, having an attitude problem or eating foods that make me sick and cranky. If religion is not your cup of tea, go to a special park, retreat, high building, or deck and let go, recharge and restore. It is best to leave home to get the best results. Do this for 9, 18 or 27 days or nights in a row for best results. But to make the “motor” of your home to work with you, you must “clear the decks,” clear the clutter and space clear your being. Happy clearing!

PS. Please contact me before any walls or ceilings are cut into. The walls and ceilings of your house represent your skin! I will give you auspicious days for doing this kind of work. It is best for the family not to be at home when demolition is scheduled.
