Watch for Signs and Follow the Bread Crumbs to Find a New You!

Missing signals to a new career is very detrimental. Starting over and finding yourself once again is a lifetime commitment. We have so many talents, and I think the gods that be want us to use all of them.

I hate to break the news to you, but it is time to face the facts, folks. Stop trying to restore what is gone, over and finished. It is like trying to resuscitate a dead person for four hours. At some point the quality of life isn’t worth the effort. If you lost money, a house, a marriage or your job, dust yourself off and “get back on the horse,” as they say. Let go of what he could have been, you could have been and she shoulda, coulda, woulda have been if this, that and such-and-such hadn’t gone wrong. If you are still stuck on changing anyone else, it will never happen. They may behave for a while, but they and they alone can change themselves. I would say the odds of someone changing themselves is pretty low, but I have seen it happen. The odds go up as we let go of our “pastness” and look forward to new adventures and talents hidden within the depths of being. It’s like shopping at the best store in the world and seeing all the new shiny, unique items they have to offer. Pause, watch and listen to signs, signals and clues when change is necessary. Here are some you might have missed while filling your brain way too full of worries and schedules.

You hear someone tell you the same thing the times in a row, or several people during the day, week or month mention the same thing. Watching animals, birds, clouds, insects or plants catch your attention. Listening instead of talking. Listening to someone talk while you are seeing him say something different. It called “hearing on two levels.” An intuitive feeling. Meeting people who can help you and are asking to help you, but you refuse. Phone calls, email, text, trying to get your attention to classes, activities and more, even if you don’t think you are interested. Dreaming the same thing over and over in different ways. Upon awakening you get big ideas and orders from “headquarters.” It’s called a woman’s intuition, but lots of guys tell me have these “ah ha” moments also. Your pets are demanding your attention. Your doctor, dentist, massage therapist or hair dresser keeps canceling appointments. Friends or clients don’t return your calls in a timely manner? As painful it seems, open yourself to new relationships. Respect is a two-way street. Stop trying to make things happen. Move on; find someone else, so you will be in the right place at the right time for the next earthly assignment. Follow the bread-crumb trail. It could be very exciting. Have faith and breathe deeply.

Today I had planned to write the newspaper article for “West Meets East” first thing this morning. But when the word newspaper met my brain, immediately my mind’s eye said, “Expand and contact the local publications.” So in a nut shell, I have had no food today (not a good idea) but an assignment to contact news publications in the Portland area. I will share the proposal announcement below, in hopes that you also pursue one or more of the brilliant ideas that comes to haunt you.

This new awakening is happening to many friends and clients who have put blame, procrastination and anger in the past and are reaping the rewards of a clear mind and decluttered house. Their ideas seem heaven sent, which is a good thing!

Remember to find your own path, but this is just an example of how to work with inspiration. Leave any expectation out of this package, as you should never tie yourself up with the outcome or the intention becomes a very heavy worry.

Good Morning,

My name is Caroline Patrick Bor Nei. I live at the new art/work community called Milepost 5 here in Portland. The Lan Su Chinese Gardens are presenting their annual art show and have invited me to lecture at the gardens this month. I will be speaking in one of the lovely rooms on the site while using the Art Bagua I have sent in the attachment.

I thought your paper might be interested in our local happening and especially the Lan Su Gardens, which is needing Portland’s support in many ways. It is a jewel of this city, and promotion of this landmark could be of great benefit for the continuation of being open to the public. They could use more members.

The lectures will be November 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th from 1-2 pm. I will speak on correct placement and the importance of placing artwork in the home, business and in other facilities according to the 9 Elements of the ancient template called a Bagua. I will give the meanings of each color, such as yellow for Earth, Black for Water or Red for Reputation, etc.

I invite you to my website to see more, www.fengshuiartistry.com. I have been an artist for over 40 years and a Feng Shui practitioner for 20 years with over 5000 consultations. I have studied herbalism for 15 years and have written a weekly newspaper column called “West Meets East” for the Benicia Herald in California for over 12 years. It is a popular read about my consultations and life stories.

I did meet one of your new reporters at the gardens a few months ago and was hoping someone from the paper could come and take pictures during the talks.

Next I sent out this PS to some friends to look over the contents give their opinion then network my ideas.

PS: Sending you a “proposal” type of info for the newspapers in the area to see if I could stir up any interest in the area ... Just sharing, if you have any more ideas, send to (listed the publications) for a start. Thanks, I greatly value your opinions and suggestions. I’ll be opening a studio/Feng Shui store in the building next door to Milepost 5 in January called (I think) Caroline’s @ Studio 128.

Thank you for your time,

Caroline Patrick Bor Nei
