The Value of a Feng Shui Consultation

Here is some general information on why a Feng Shui consultation is invaluable to a any home but especially for a new house.

Yes I do. I have done Feng Shui consultations in the Gig Harbor Area, an evening workshop for about 20 realtors, educators, and other business women last year.

I have an upcoming lecture for the Northwest Mall Association in Arlington this month, and was in Centralia three weeks ago to look at a shopping center, so I do travel.

Thanks so much for your response.

I would love to work with you but I am guessing you generally work with larger venues, if you will. My home is a three bedroom, three bath, two-story home that I specifically need to have paint selection and Feng Shui completed.

Do you have any kind of projected cost you could give me in order to complete the above, and is it worth your time given you have larger clients you can work with?

I have Feng Shui’d many one-bedroom studios. Using color is one way to bring a good flow into your home.

I work on many levels Your best choice is the two-hour home consultation for $350 plus mileage in Washington State (other states have different prices). If the square footage is over 2500 hundred feet, it some times takes longer. Each additional hour is $99. This is for very large houses. But I work fast, and you might want record or video me for reference. A consultation is a gift to yourself and family.

I also walk around the outside if you wish and give suggestions for placement of pools, saunas, barbeque pits (very important), outbuildings, land and plot shapes. I give you ideas for types of gardens and where the playground equipment goes for a better marriage. The great thing about a consultation is, it is your choice how you place things, I’m only the advisor.

The first hour is spent “mapping the home,” which gives you a guide to keep and use on any dwelling (office, home and plots of land) from the past or future buildings.

The second hour is a walk through of the home with suggestions of color, and explaining what Gua or location each room is located in and what colors and objects would best enhance or activate that section.

Example: the Career Section or Gua is located at the front of the house in three sections. One is called Knowledge, great space for a den, study, office or studio. Next we talk about Water and why this element is used in this Career section. Bringing a constant flow of money to the home is activated by a water feature or possibly a water painting, mural or mirror at the front entry. There is always more than one solution. The third Gua or the room located to the immediate front right corner of the structure is called Helpful People and Travel, which is the area to use color, shapes, and decor to invite energy from all those friends, relatives, coworkers, etc. Helpful People is directly associated with the Wealth room, located to the far back let section of the home.

Using Feng Shui in your home is a life-changing process. The great part about the information I give you is, you can choose your own pace of bringing about the ideas I impart. Some clients take years to declutter or try new colors for specific reasons, while others want Wealth, Partnership and Family life improved quickly. Go at your own pace.

I explain the five elements and why the results of using Water, Wood, Fire, Metal and Earth and their assigned colors in the constructive cycle can energize the home, or overusing certain colors can bring about a disruptive cycle. This is very empowering information on many levels, such as choices of artwork, clothing and sheets, etc.

I had a bank president who had painted the whole Helpful People and Travel room of her house red. This being a water, metal-related Gua, it began quickly to cause a “meltdown.” She began loosing her hold on her Career, travel plans went down the drain, and she was sued all in one day! Was this a coincidence or did she use too much “fire” in a related metal zone? It didn’t matter, after a call to me she went straight to the paint store to change the walls to a more related color. I had worked with her years ago and she knew the Art of Placement really worked. She understood the value of Feng Shui.

My clients come in a wide range of backgrounds including teenage and college students who ask, “how did you get started in Feng Shui, how much does it pay?” From surgeons, learning institutions, realtors, designers, landscapers, hospitals, churches, city government buildings to day care facilities, I’m asked how to make their homes and businesses comfortable.

One case always comes to mind when someone asks if I still Feng Shui individual homes. A woman from another country with a “green card” called me years ago and asked if I could give her a consultation for her one room she rented at the top of a three story house. She had no car, no friends or relatives to keep her company and could barely speak English, but believed in Feng Shui as her country also used a type of Feng Shui, and she was familiar with the theory.

We worked on her room for two hours. I then left and then didn’t see her again for two years when she came into my shoppe. “Do you remember me?” she asked. “Of course I do, how are things going?” I questioned. “Not so good, I don’t think it helped,” she sighed. “Nothing has changed,” she informed as she slumped into a near by chair. I was puzzled as I had never given a consultation where something didn’t work. “Let’s see, as I remember you wanted a car, boyfriend and a job, correct?” I inquired. “Oh, yes, I got those and I live in a nice home now,” she remembered. A smile crossed her face, as she realized that indeed her adjustments in that tiny 12' x 12' room did help. Now we needed to check the floor plan of her new home as each floor plan has its own energy. We indeed found a Health Gua problem, which needed adjustment. The center bathroom of her house was painted a creamy yellow with earth-colored tile to support this Earth Element area and thus “grounding” the space for better health.
