Study Feng Shui with Caroline

When you find yourself watching too much TV, calling your grown children daily, getting into your neighbor’s business or feeling like everyone is against you, it might be a big sign that you need to get a new life! One of my neighbors, whom I really enjoy, lingered at my doorway after delivering a newsletter to chat about how her niece of 22 wanted to go start a new life in San Diego on her own. Although she loves her parents, they are warning her of every conceivable bad thing that might go wrong in that wild city in California. I heard her story of how several of the relatives had joined in on the onslaught of delivering fear, guilt and a little crying to convince their only child to remain at home where she will remain safe.

I listened with compassion, as she seemed to be talking a lot about my situation as a young adult. The difference between the 22-year-old “girl” and myself? I was 21, had a new baby and a husband, which made no difference to my father who claimed, “Arizona probably still has cowboys and Indians roaming the mountains ... stay here ... where it is safe and secure,” was his plea. By the time we escaped to the west, my husband and I had two children and were close to 30 years old. We said goodbye to everyone, as tears flooded the ground, then drove two miles to a hideout motel, to eat and spend the night before leaving on the BIG TRIP. Somehow my grandparents saw the U-Haul when leaving our sold house, and came knocking on the motel door! My husband flipped out and almost divorced me as the tears of goodbye again started and flooded the motel room floor. My father never recovered from the trauma of his only daughter leaving home and to his dying day claimed we were a bunch of ‘Damn Gypsies’!!!

The point of story is, stay connected in a healthy manner to your children. Give them a firm foundation and let them go. Pay attention to signs that you “need to get your own life.” Take a course at the local college. Volunteer or go back to school. Follow your dreams not your children. It took me several years to find my purpose. I began teaching art. The classes grew and grew over the years, then I became bored and started getting too involved with my grown children once again. Thank goodness they pointed this out to me and I didn’t take offense, as we are quite a humorous family, which makes communications easier. If I hadn’t ventured out of my comfort zone, I would have never studied plant life or Feng Shui.

At this phase of my life I still enjoy doing consultations, and taking another look at what makes me happy. I have decided to finally mentor a few people who really are serious about incorporating Feng Shui into their current practices or becoming a consultant. Here is my answer to the latest inquiry on learning the Art of Placement. Hi there, here’s the info ... WHAT IS CUSTOMIZED FENG SHUI MENTORING?

It is for those wishing to study with me privately. ONE ON ONE.

Thinking I was in semi-retirement and enjoying an artist’s day of painting, the phone rang and suddenly jolted me back to reality. I found myself saying yes to mentoring a woman on the Art Of Placement. I had said no many times, as the commitment is great, but “never say never”!

Here is how it came about ...

I was approached by a couple of former students about mentoring and turned them down, but one person from California who missed out on all eight years of the other workshops in Benicia and desperately (her words) wanted to learn Feng Shui from me. She had searched for a long time and found other teachers didn’t resonate with her, their prices were very unaffordable and travel was always involved. So after much persistence on her part (which is a quality of a true student), I rethought the situation and came up with idea to start people where “they need to be,” or evaluate their previous life’s experiences and give credit where credit is due!

Some things will overlap for all the students, but so far there is no Feng Shui program out there that respects what “we” as adults, know and have accomplished at “this point” in our journey. I feel strongly this aspect needs to be taken into consideration and supported.

I will, of course, have to limit the students so you can personally soar and incorporate Feng Shui into your current professions or open doors to new Careers, which Feng Shui will do anyway. I can only share with you, my experiences of over 4000+ consultations. I am blessed to have information. I have new information daily as my Master Teacher Professor Lin Yun is 73 and giving what we are calling “the secret of secrets” of Feng Shui.

Love to have you aboard. At some point I would like take everyone on a Feng Shui excursion!

Let me know soon if you are interested. Blessings and Good Chi, Caroline
