Replant to Revive Your Chi
Last week snowflakes filled the air. Huge frozen delicate pieces of delight fluttered silently over the island and waterways, looking like white swarming butterflies. This week spring has sprung. Trees are in blossom. Acres and acres of tulips fill the Skagit Valley with vibrant colors only nature can imagine. Living in the Northwest, near the Canadian Border, winter, spring and summer do a strange dance. Old timers say, We used to have four seasons, but now you never know, the weather is so strange. Actually, it seems most of the world is experiencing big changes in climate, earth rumblings, reevaluating social behaviors, biological findings, culture and religious identities, political choices, investments programs, credit and bankruptcy instability, conventional medicines and alternative medicines beginning to honor one another, etc. Yes, the world is shifting, changing and realigning. If we want to be in harmony, we must learn to adjust, as each action demands a reaction. We are responsible for what we say and what we do as countries and with our familys members. Energy is energy is energy!
When things seem to get out of control in my own life, I take a few deep breaths, walk outside into the sun, rain or snow and lift my arms upward toward the sky. With palms flattened and my eyes looking upward, I visual a bright light coming from the heavens and entering my body, shining on the palms of my hands. This golden light suddenly spirals down the arms, through my body adjusting every cell, then rests at my feet. Suddenly this energy reverses and now spirals upward to the head and back out through my palms. I do this quick meditation outside around noon to gather Yang or daytime Chi which actives the breath and the organs, and reconnects the body with the cosmos. The exercise calms the left-brain, deletes disconnected thoughts and gives a new perspective at solving problems.
One of my problems has come from the strange very cold weather. Unseasonable freezes continue to plague the Northwest, which has killed three large bushes at the front of the house. This is not a good for a Career. Dead plants, trees, flowers, and grass can cause a multitude of problems from your investments drying up and opportunities being lost. In my case, the immediate right side or corner of the house (facing the front door) is considered the area of Helpful People and Travel opportunities. The energies of having people to help me such as, clients not calling, travel being delayed, intentions backed up, communication problems with phones, computers jammed, real estate not selling, or the plumber not showing up are likely. Dead plants, dead bushes and broken water fountains equal = dead opportunities.
I contacted someone to remove the large bushes with very long roots in the morning, and I headed off to the local nursery to find new ones. Knowing this right corner is one of the most valuable Guas or areas to bring Chi back to my Career, it was important to have three plants to replace those taken from the ground as quickly as possible. Leaving the ground vacant is not good Feng Shui practice. I arrived home at noon with new round-shaped bushes. The flowering plants gave even more vibrant energy to the Helpful People area. The noon heat became overwhelming as the last bush was planted along with the three gray Dusty Miller fill-ins and three red geraniums. Nine plants created a very lucky, auspicious number for balance and harmony. I blessed the new addition to the garden and added a PS to the prayer. Please dont let it freeze tonight. Thank you!
