More Questions and Answers

My websites provide a forum for many people’s questions about Feng Shui, the art of placement used to create a home retreat. Here are some email which might help other individuals with their current dilemmas.

Caroline,

I am drawing up on the computer my house plan with the bagua. I have a 2-car garage attached to the house. Do I include that in the overall looking at where to place colors and things? I live in Colorado and hope someday to take your classes in Benicia. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Thank you. Have a J day! "Knowledge is not powerful unless shared with others."

Dear Reader,

Hello, yes, if the garages are attached they become part of the floor plan. Place the center of the bagua in the center of the house with the career zone lined up to the front entry. Good luck. I’m sorry I couldn’t open up the document. You may want to check both my websites for information. The weekly newspaper column is on moongateschool.com. I have a lot of answers in these columns. Hope to see you in class someday. I will be taking students through a home in the spring to see feng shui applied. If you get a large group together for a class, I can come your way.

Hi, Caroline!

I’m interested to have a Feng Shui consultation. We are moving to a new house in Pleasant Hill, CA during the last week of this month. I’m wondering when it is best to have your Feng Shui consultation: before or after moving in. Please let me know ASAP so I can set an appointment with you.

Thank you,

Dear Reader,

Hi. Having a consultation can be done before or after a move. It is best if you have a lot of heavy furniture to have me as soon as possible, but I also like to see what your pattern of living is. The psychology of the house shows up in the floor plan. This tells me a lot about how you view all nine aspects about yourself. Placing the elements in the correct zones helps you move forward to wealth, career abundance, health and love. Please call the studio for your appointment. I look forward to meeting with you. Come by the studio, open 1-5 daily, to check us out and sign up for any workshops if you find one you like. I will be giving one in the spring. I will take students through a home to see how feng shui is done. Thanks for the inquiry.

Hi Caroline,

Just found your site with Acumind. Really glad I did. I learned about Feng Shui late last year…and guess what, the wealth area is in the WORST possible room it could be in. That’s right, the master bath, ohhh noooo. I’ve tried all the cures that I knew of but so far nothing has worked. I believe that it also carries over into the next room which is our den which has a fireplace. That in itself is not good either. We make really good money but we keep being drained with nothing left over. We really want to move from this state but nothing seems to be working that I’ve tried. Right now we currently live just below St. Louis, MO, but we would like to get moved back to the Greater Cincinnati, OH area, which by the way, we have moved to there from Fremont, CA. We lived there for eight years. I loved it but my husband hated it. By chance could you give me some tips that could possibly help to keep our money from going down the drain.

Right now, I have purple in the wealth area, like a bath rug set and towels, an amethyst rock, a bamboo plant, a fern, a picture of a running stream, a mirror under the toilet tank, a mirror over the door, a full-length mirror on the back side of the door, and we keep the toilet lid closed. I’ve also painted the shower drain red and even put red tape around the sink pipes. Could you please give me some insight and would the fireplace play a major role in this as well.

Thanks, looking forward to your reply,

Dear Reader,

This is not the best floor plan to live in, in regards to hanging onto money. The force of the flushing toilet is the largest loss of chi in the house. This downward direction of a water source in any part of the home is not good, but the abundance corner or far back left section of the home brings prosperity to the homeowners.

It looks as if you have done many of the cures needed to correct this problem. Personally, I would decorate this back left area in a forest décor with green bamboo growing upward toward the sky, shower curtains, towels and rugs in forest greens accented in purple. I would change the painting to lush green upward growing plants, forest, and earth. Since this is a small wood and wind gua, opportunity occurs with new growth. Use purple also in the form of a 50mm lead rounded faceted crystal in the center of the room. Use your purple towels with the green, they look lovely together. It is a must to have an upgrowing plant on the back of the toilet. Keep drains closed when not in use. Place a cup of rice behind the toilet in a basket or place on the floor. Use wood enhancements for decorations. The other things you have done are fine. Place the full-length mirror on the outside of the bathroom door to make it "go away."

I have lived in over 24 homes and condos. Looking over all those floor plans which I have drawn out for my classes, I can trace my life. It is evident which structures have been kind to my family and those that have been lessons in the making. The proof is now in. With over 2500 consultations which I have done, it shows it is best to go with the flow of the bagua. Follow the rules. Place the elements in their correct environment and you create balance and harmony in your life.

Check my website fengshuiartistry.com for my idea of the perfect modern day layout of a floor plan. Also remember the outside of the property is also involved in the equation.

Thanks for your inquiry and read my weekly newspaper column on moongateschool.com for more ideas. I will come to your city if I have a large group to teach.
