The Pathways of Chi, Known and Unknown

Feng shui, the art of placement, includes mundane and transcendental pathways. Mundane or seen objects can be placed where they will encourage the flow of chi, or energy and not block the natural flow of the breath of life. Water flows gently through passageways, down mountains, creating ions as wind dips under, over and through the life-giving liquid. We are able to see the water, but the gentle breezes, caress the creatures of the lush environment and uplift the currents of invisible or transcendental chi, nurturing every growing living organism. Although we can only visualize the mundane, the transcendental is more important. Transcendental falls into the category of faith, faith that the next breath you take will be followed by the next, etc. Thus life is based on an unknown god or god source, a force of constant ever-surrounding energy field.

Feng shui are words used to describe this action. The first place to look for blockages stopping the flow of this necessary chi is in the environment. Check your own spaces to be sure your home is not causing internal stress. World issues start at home. If you are happy, the neighbors respond in like manner, the city benefits, the state reflects its citizens’ behavior, and so eventually the world could be a better place. The water flows down hill gently and restores peace. It’s a trickle-down effect.

Feng shui practiced in your living spaces can bring changes sometimes quickly. It depends what intentions you choose and where you are on your earthly journey. What is your purpose and how will your talent be used for mankind? Clearing out the clutter in your home and work place can help ease the confusion and decision. Removing unused items or objects which remind you of unhappy times can lighten the burden and help the flow of happy chi come into your life.

Using the five elements of water, wood, fire, metal and earth in a balanced way through design, structure, and nature will bring harmony. Adding the mundane and transcendental enhancements and removing excess from your environment will ensure abundance in all areas of your life.
