Missed Steps Sabotage Feng Shui Advice None of us work and play at the same speed. Each individual is born with aspects and traits. We all do things differently and in our own time frame, but those who procrastinate miss many opportunities. Fear is usually the culprit for moving forward. This is why Feng Shui is a great way to stay out of the way of yourself and just follow the suggestions of a qualified consultant. Becoming good in any occupational field takes time and dedication. To become a great Feng Shui consultant, it takes a lifetime or more to understand all that it encompasses. To date I have been studying and training in The Art of Placement since 1989. When I first heard of Feng Shui and Geomancy, or study of the land, I became curious of how a house could affect people living in that house and why the environment could support or disrupt the family fortunes and luck. I innocently began searching out the theories behind this scientific and folklore wisdom, and the reasons this knowledge had survived for centuries. Having found perfect teachers for this information, the long journey began into a world of ancient secret teachings, passed down through the centuries from fathers to sons. No woman was allowed to know the ways of Chi. Thank goodness these secrets are now being taught to both males and females in the West and around the world. Even today Feng Shui advice in some countries is considered against the law and is only used by royalty to keep fortunes and the control of others safely in the hands of high officials. I have been given warnings about divulging my occupation when traveling, as Feng Shui is yet another secret on how common people can have prosperity. Some of my clients don't want to know the details of what I do; they just trust me to fix-it! They know "it" works. Word of mouth is still the best advertising tool. Do a good job and your name will "be in the light." Each house, each person, each location and business is unique. Using a friend's "cures" to Feng Shui your home is not a good idea. Every space is different. For example, a Partnership "cure" for one couple may cause problems for a friend's marriage. Using a Red String Binding the Relationship correction may keep another's husband or wife feeling trapped! I might want the color of the bed sheets changed to pink or a sun/moon mirror placed under a pillow for a couple experiencing problems with the need to examine the self before proceeding to the next step. There are other clients who only do the enhancements which they find pleasing, such as color changes or moving furniture, or try only the cures they like. This action can lead to sabotaging all the efforts of the consultant. Just this morning I received a call from a former client. A year after my initial visit she was still having trouble with her husband, her Career and her Health. When inquiring about completion of lighting at front entry, hanging a wind chime and placing bright flowers near the door, oiling the squeaky screen door and opening it 27 times in a row, the only response was phone silence. Then several seconds later her spacey voice replied, "No, I don't remember you mentioning that," she whispered. Light to bring in the Fire Element is necessary, "so you can be seen," flowers to bring vibrancy and life, to job opportunities, and opening the door 27 times or 2+7=9 "a very auspicious number of completion" activates the flow of Chi to nurture her job. I continued to check on the other aspects she desired, such as a good marriage and her illnesses. She had neglected to do any of the cures connected to the three main problems she had hired me to advise on. Surprised? No. I see it often. We find change very hard. Others complete everything in one week. They get the correct crystals from a great source, place mirrors in the right area, doubling their Health, Wealth, luck and creativity, start a Treasure Box, change their child's bed position for Health, rid the room of EMF's dangers, clean out from under the bed so the child breaths better and can retain knowledge, bringing up their grades by placing a Yu Bowl under the bed in the right position. Some of these things may sound silly, but they work. Don't miss the steps of following expert advice. After all, you paid for the consultation and the years of study needed to become a good house detective! Reread the previous notes from the first visit, do the corrections and see what happens next. After two emergencies calls yesterday, I gave Feng Shui cures over the phone. They were former clients, so this is part of their on-going business relationship with me, to give free advice for those few extra questions during a nine-month period after the initial consultation. "What can I do for my son who is in danger? He is being harassed by two co-workers and I think it is getting out of control." First you can make adjustments to the Helpful People section of your home, even though he is out of the country. (The immediate room to the right of the front door, unless your house has an L shape and this corner is "missing.") If it is missing, add a solar spot light in the vacant area or corner of the lot where the corner of a room might be placed. Shine it up to the edge of the roof line or as the Chinese call it, The Ridge Roof. "This will bring light to the situation, and things will be more clear as to why they are bothering him. Pray a prayer of protection or chant The 5 Thunders to bring aid and protection to your son." I gave her more advice, but these two "cures" are a great way to be helpful when you feel helpless. The other emergency was also taken care of as both women reported back, in amazement may I add, that the cures worked! And in record time. Yes, this is why I continue to study with His Holiness Grandmaster Professor Lin Yun. His wisdom about Feng Shui and energy is amazing when used properly. This science is not a religion, but a way to work with nature and its flow. Caroline lives in the Northwest Region of the US, called The Puget Sound in Washington State.
