Mini Feng Shui Readings Give Vital Clues to Behavior
This year Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year shared the same day. I was asked to be a guest speaker for a two-day festival celebrating the Year of the Metal Tiger and giving Feng Shui information for couples, or how to find a mate. The two days were busier than expected and I had a great time meeting interesting new people in Portland. I love to “read” houses as our houses, apartments and dwellings give out a lot of interesting clues about the people living in the house. This seemed to be a popular subject and after speaking each day, people signed up to find out more about themselves, the floor plan they chose, where and why they place their furniture and belongings in certain rooms. The house also reveals our strengths and weaknesses. I find human behavior so fascinating, especially when the space we live in also affects the aspects of life, such as our Careers, our Families, our money or Wealth both mundane and spiritually, our love life, our Health, our Children and much more.
Below is an email from a man who came to hear me speak.
Bob (not his real name) is trying to figure out how to keep more money and find a new girlfriend at 69 years old. As you read, you will see his Partnership corner or the far back right side of his apartment is “missing.” On the other side of the wall are drains from the common laundry room. Why did this apartment appeal to him? There are many Feng Shui reasons. During my workshops I explain these situations and how to cure yourself by allowing vital Chi to flow smoothly through your house and your body to restore balance. I have a condo in Beaverton, am a metal Dragon, etc., hopefully that is enough info to help you remember me. Hi there, yes I remember you. I am traveling again this week, but will be back after the 17th of March, please send me your phone number again so I can contact you for the full consultation you requested before I go to California in April.
To answer your question about the crystals and other Feng Shui “cures,” I have a mentoring student in California who will be selling the crystals in a couple of weeks. They will also be blessed and “cleared” before being sold. Also, if you can find one in Chinatown or online, it is good to carry a small jade pig this year, as he is the friend of the tiger. They sell these kinds of charms each year. I feel these zodiac creatures are a cute way to remind us to get along with everyone. The Chinese Zodiac is filled with information on what animal is best friends with another one, and seeing one of these talismans all the time reminds us to be nice.

Hello again Caroline,
Question, you told me to put a full-length mirror on the outside of the bathroom door. I have two possibilities. One is narrower but taller (approximately 10" x 65") and the other is approximately 16" x 48". The later looks more like the usual door mirror, but I was concerned that it might be too short. I also stuck a small round mirror directly over the toilet, and though you didn't mention it, I tied red string around the bathroom and kitchen sink drains and plan to tie another around the sink drain in the laundry area which is outside my unit and is a missing rectangle at the right rear of my unit. It’s a community laundry area, pretty dirty and unkempt. Someone cleaned it up last weekend, but I'm going to clean it some more, and since it is in my relationships area, I’m thinking I’ll paint part of the walls pink or pinkish red. Bob, thanks for the update and the resource information with directions, questions on what you would like to happen in your life, what is not going right, relationship goals, your address and floor plan.
Looks like you are a good Feng Shui student! I will answer a couple of your questions to get you started on the problems areas before my visit. Yes, you can use the red ribbon and strings to promote things and lift Chi or you can paint the pipes red. I will do a cure called “sealing the drains” when I come to do the consultation. This is a cure done by a consultant to uplift the downward movement in drains. This constant movement of water going out of the house can take the finances with it and also cause huge problems if a bed is backed up to a toilet on the other side of the wall. Sickness and brain problems can result.
The mirrored door can be the whole door mirrored or one which does not cut off your head. So those door dressing mirrors are a good also.

Have a floor plan drawn and make two copies, one for me and one for you to keep. Also you may want to include another house plan or two of places where things went right or wrong! These give clues to your actions and reactions in the present.
