Look Before You Leap Get Feng Shui Advice
It is best to have a Feng Shui evaluation before adding on or changing an existing structure. As you can conclude by this email conversation, before changing doors, windows, building on or taking out a wall, the houses and lots shape and angles should be taken into consideration. It could be compared to adding a third arm, leg or head to a body. The house takes on a whole new personality when under construction, and so do the people living in the dwelling. Please look before you leap. Read on to understand some of the problems that can occur when just adding a door (the voices of the adults) in a relationship area.
Dear Caroline,
My bed faces my bathroom. We put a window and a French door into the wall opposite our bed, and the toilet sits just behind the French door. I did this before I knew anything about Feng Shui, so had I to do it over again, I would have left the wall as was. What can I do to fix this? My relationship feels like its draining down the toilet. I have put a curtain over the French door and a big plant in front of it, but that is a temporary solution. Eventually I want to wall the door back up again, but Im not so sure about the window. I sort of like the look of it, but on the other side of it is our Jacuzzi tub/shower.
Please advise, Reader
Hello,
To see the whole layout of the house would be important before I would make a judgment on this one. That way I can determine what Gua the bathroom is located in and how it relates to the whole Bagua of the house. It could be that all you need is a 50 mm round pure faceted crystal hanging between the doors and your bed, but there is more to consider when life changes are wanted. There are best placements for bathrooms when building a home, but Ill help you work with the floor plan you have and explain what the best Feng Shui floor plan could be for future homes. Yes, toilets do have a downward Chi flow, and there is a cure which can only be done by a trained consultant or under the direction of one. I find students and clients always have one or two consistent problems when choosing a house. These problems seem to show up as unresolved personal issues reflecting in the floor plan choice. Once I point out these past issues, you are empowered to make the changes in the current home and later floor plans. You are the house....
Have you read books on Feng Shui, and if so, which ones? This would also answer some questions. Every school of Feng Shui offers good advice, but some use absolute directions and others the front door is the Entry. Mapping the home is a course I teach in which the students learn each Gua, its Element, action and color. All Guas relate to a body part and the people in your life. So knowing the whole is helping you in a complete way and not just about your relationship.
Cutting a wall open to place a window is children energy; doors are the adults in the house. Do the doors swing inward to the bedroom or outward? Have you had any skylights installed, or other remodeling done in the house which relates to surgeries? Most important is the bed, desk and stove be in a commanding position to the front door. Are there children, how old and what part of the house are their bedrooms, what color of clothes do they wear, how much electrical is in all of your bedrooms?
Partnership problems can result from an outbuilding which hasnt been included in the floor plan, as well as sliding doors in the wrong placement (represents female organs) and placement out of commanding position of the bed. On what side do you sleep, are the closets too full, or is it an open bath/bedroom floor plan, and what is going on outside the house or apartment yard? Septic tanks, childrens play yard or a dilapidated outbuilding, tools, wheelbarrow and garbage cans in the Relationship area of the floor plan are also a concern.
The good news is it can all be corrected. There are several transcendental cures I have learned in my studies with His Holiness Master Teacher Professor Lin Yin. His cures are wondrous as he has learned them from his Master Teachers and knowledge gained from his lineage, dating back 5000 years. I still cant believe I have in my lifetime found such a wise and humble teacher. I continue to study with several teachers, but his Master of Feng Shui is magic.
If you want a full evaluation of your home, I would be glad to help you. I do phone consultations if you live over 50 miles from me. With email, faxes and phones it is now possible, as I am trained to pick up your energy and that of your home when speaking to you. The home is blessed when we finish and you have some training on how to relate Feng Shui to you family and business. The consultations complete and give you many new ideas to work with. I would love to help you figure out why there is a relationship problem and give guidance and comfort to ease the situation.
Thanks for your question, and I look forward to your response.
Caroline
Dear Caroline,
Thank you for your thorough response. I am going to have to map it out and send it to you as soon as I can manage. I would love to do a consultation over the phone, but would like to have you see what the floor plan is first.
I have looked over the book Feng Shui Your Life and, of course, I have been studying Terah Collins Western Guide to Feng Shui. Thats about it. Its interesting that you would mention surgery because I had surgery last year. We did remodel the bathroom in question by putting in a tub, but we arent really finished with the whole room yet. Finishing projects is an issue. We are also thinking of doing the kitchen and the family/playroom. Yikes!
I got your name off the website. I emailed the school, because the book says to get in touch with Terah if you have any questions. The school emailed me back and said I could ask you. I will try to get a floor plan I can email, even a rough draft.
Thanks again, Reader
