Phone Consultation Evaluation on Health and Family
I am sharing one of my latest evaluations with some of the clients questions and answers. Hopefully it will give some insight to how Feng Shui can be helpful to everyone. The husband has been very sick and so I concentrated on the Center of the house, which is a bathroom. The main evaluation was sent by mail, which some phone clients prefer. These are some follow-up questions from the client after the packet arrived which contained her drawing of the floor plan, with which I include a color-coded drawing and explanation to follow.
Caroline: Package arrived. I still have a lot of unanswered questions that I thought you would have answered herein.
A. I try to do my best for each client. In doing so, I ask for the main things they would like to change, as it would take years to go over every detail, and you would loose the intimacy of the process, which is developing peace within and in turn a permanent state of mind to go with the environmental changes. In your case it was Health for Gary, your happiness and for your children's best.
Then I evaluate the floor plan and give Feng Shui suggestions, to stop the current pressure according to the 9 aspects of Feng Shui, but center in on those changes thus bringing relief to the situations. I list the suggestions in order of importance. There are many reasons behind those answers according to the rules that Feng Shui provides. Interior design details can cause a lot of problems when drains, stoves, beds and desks are out of "commanding positions." So I will go over a few of those things below.
Please remember only change what you are comfortable with. I share the knowledge of placement my Feng Shui Master Teachers have taught me over the last 20 years, such as metal becomes magnetized by EMF's in a bedroom. It is best to have a solid wooden headboard to protect the person and especially a child with a Wood Element support, so they may "grow like the wood" and feel support from the family as wood is the element given to the Family Gua.
Since you are a quick thinker you may be interested in Feng Shui classes. My mentoring students are learning some of these puzzles of how the destructive and constructive cycles are combined for greater balance. If you are interested there are many classes out there, all have a different take on Feng Shui, but I love the ancient meaning and reasons as you do.
Couple quick -- would it be acceptable to mirror the top 10-12 inches of the bathroom?
A. Yes that would be fine.
As I indicated, we have two ceilings in there- the bottom of which we intend to remove. Since I do not want to change the wallpaper therein, we had been kicking around different ideas for the difference b/t the paper and the ceiling -- we had arrived at putting a plate rack type shelf at the break and displaying bathroom memorabilia on the shelf -- what do you think about mirrors behind there?
A. I am interested in deflecting bathroom energy only; you may decorate any way that you please. Yellow is the main color for Health and Earth is its Element. Please refer to Center bathrooms and their decor on your evaluation.
You have the bathroom door really tilted from the bedroom -- which it is not no way
A. I made adjustments according to your drawings. We spoke about this on the phone. If the doors are lined up together, there is no problem, but the wall when entering Austin's room in the Wealth section, which I find this detail design in most children's bedrooms, causes them to not move forward, as they are "hitting the wall." Add a mirror to this wall to unblock this problem. Even a productive poster of water or sky with a written theme will help if hung at this immediate wall when entering the room would help. For my Grandsons a mirror when up, then I looked to see what was reflected in the mirror and hung something there that would double the "Cure".
To put a picture in the hall across from the mirror on the door -- it would be on Austin's (wealth room) door. The difference b/t the doors aligning is fractions of an inch --
A. Doesn't apply any more.
Also, what's the deal with the solid headboards? And upon reading things, it seems the white day bed made from circular metal, accented with gold, would be perfect for creativity in our young man. Did I miss something or misread what was in the stuff you sent?
A. We talked about it in the phone consultation. For children who are needing support, day beds or bunk beds are not the best choice. Also no bars, metal or wood. Please read above. There are many reasons I explain in my workshops, it again has to do with family, school, and being protected.
Also -- one wall you indicate a mirror is taken up completely by the china cabinet (kitchen) -- so some kind of stick up mirror behind it? Again I am trying to help with the Health situation. If it were me I would move it and place a large mirror to deflect the center bathroom.
A. It doesn't matter where you move it just so it doesn't block another area. Or use a stick up mirror if that is what you prefer.
Knowledge room -- good place for the sewing table as well? And what about exercise equipment? Where does it go? Toys for the kids?
A. These are decor questions. If it were me, I would only keep only one or two exercise machines. Walking outside is very valuable. The Chi of the outdoors is inspiring.
Gary is putting the mirror on the bathroom door -- turns out we had one! The frame was just a cheap thing that fell off -- so he is putting the plastic crystal holders on the door to hold the (real glass) mirror.
A. Very, very good for Health.
I am making a list -- you did not address the garage (40 x24), which is a separate building to the south of the house - not touching the house (by inch/inches) - right now it is holding a lot of 'stuff' that is slowly being sorted through.
A. I think I mentioned any buildings outside are in relationship to the Guas inside (on most houses anyway). In your case the garage and other building is an extension of your Marriage and that I would declutter and rethink who is living in these places, in that area of your yards. I also mentioned the suggestion that Gary's studio upstairs in the garage would change and inspire wonderful works. This would be something to do together, so his inspiration for his leaded-glass art would take on a whole new look and help people spiritually. You may want to have a desk in his studio to help with design.
No water source therein - or we would be tempted to make it into an apartment upstairs!
A. Add a water fountain for life-giving Chi; take care of it every day, like a child or pet.
We are making a list of more questions. Thanks,
A. I hope these answers help you further. I ask myself daily, what can I do without, especially since I will be moving soon. Life has taught me to consider Jesus when he asked his disciples to leave everything and come with him. I am not quite ready to do that, as I still need my computer to help clients in this modern day, but we can't take it with us when we do leave this plane, and so I find the more I release the healthier I become and the clearer my brain is. It is a glorious feeling I have determined, and so I continue to look at my "own stuff" in a mundane and spiritual way and delete what is old in furniture and stagnant anger.
Please remember I only make suggestions when evaluating spaces for Feng Shui corrections. Crystals and mirrors I have found to be very effective. Adding the Elements in a creative way "starts" the engine to peace and harmony. I invite you to use your styles, symbols, prayers and intentions, as Feng Shui is not a religion, but an equation based on ancient mathematical shapes and forms.
Blessings, Caroline Patrick BorNei
