Business Has Gone To The Dogs! Feng Shui Tips for A Kennel

There is never a dull moment when helping clients with new business adventures. Feng Shui can help make these transitions a financial success. Here is one example in which some former clients decided to make a large leap from the corporate world and manifest the other side of themselves by taking a hobby and making it a business! Over the years, they have listened and made the Feng Shui recommendations within weeks of my consultations. I am amazed at this married couple's quick actions. This 10,000 sq. ft. facility was Feng Shui ready to go and open for their "four footed guests" in record time.

After receiving a blueprint, I study an aerial view of the land, if possible, then the shape of the lot. Next comes the building and its relationship with other buildings that are nearby. I must see if the building is below the main road or flow of Chi, level to the road or above the road. The main road or street is how the energy finds your business or home. Doors, back, side and front are very important.

Do you share space with anyone, who is above, below, and to the side of your complex? Is there a vacant space next to your business? This can cause excess Yin conditions, where there needs to be a Yang or Fire influence. After checking out plumbing and bathrooms, color is also a consideration. One big issue for this company was that most of the employees according to birth dates were Metal Elements. There were only one Fire, one Water, two Woods and one Earth type. This unbalanced staff needed help. Using the right colors inside the building gave harmony to the workers. These are a few things to be considered by the Feng Shui Practitioner. Listed below are some of the notes taken and discussed with the owners:

Feng Shui Consultation Recommendations:

It is a privilege to work with you once again and I wish you great success in your new endeavors. Below is a list of recommendations of corrections in order of importance and some questions.

1. The entry doors swing outward. Is this a building code ordinance or do they swing both ways? If not, I will explain what corrections need to be done and why. Placing flagpoles on each side of the doors can raise the energy. Flowers are great on each side of the door welcome business. Evergreen trees on each side of the door with rolling bases to bring in at night would good, since they are always green. A fountain inside on the floor or reception desk or a fishbowl would help with profits. A large mirror to reflex the front doors is a must to pull in clients (especially if the door swings outward).

2. The lay of the land seems good with a river to the front of the properties and a railroad to the back, "bringing" in business.

3. The address adds up to a 7 which means "for sure" it is a Metal number which helps make money. If you separate each number to find the Elements you have and those you lack it would read: 1 is Water, 0 is 0, 9 are Fire, 6 are Metal, which are good. The ones you lack or other numbers not in the address are 3 Earths and 2 Woods. These can be made up in the birth dates of you and your employees, the colors that are used on the walls, the objects, live green vital plants and artwork. All people and colors have Elements.

4. There are many mirror placements throughout the building, either to cure a "missing piece" to reflect, to push out and to protect. Plate glass is inexpensive to use and comes in many pre-cut sizes and will help some of the "split views" between hallways and doorways, which can cause the optical nerves to eventually cause eye and brain trauma when going between spaces everyday. They are marked on the blueprints, which we will go over. Artwork or a mural on the sides of the opposing doors is another fun way to cure this "split."

5. As usual the BED, DESK and STOVE must be in a commanding position to welcome incoming opportunities. So business success starts at home! For the kennel complex is would be advisable for both CEOs' desks to face the front doors (through the walls). I can see this is possible for Knowledge sector office, but not the second owner. A "rear view mirror" will need to be set up to see who is coming in the door or a crystal to protect your side or back, so you stay healthy. Office chairs with high backs and full back design show who is boss and support your authority.

6. I see a couple of stoves or microwaves in the building, we will discuss these. Wind chimes over the "cook" will benefit the animals' diet.

7. The WEALTH corner of the building needs some TLC. The back doors are actually good for a business, especially when used a lot. The staircase will need some cures, such as plants; can be silk under the open wells and back-lighted to lift the Chi from one floor to the next. This type, back-to-back, one going up and another going down, is called Mandarin Ducks stairs. Greenery or vines (silk can be used) must be wrapped around the railings and a large crystal hung as noted in the drawings.

8. Bathroom doors need to be mirrored from the outside facing hallways.

9. There are many long hallways, which need corrections, so the sha or rushing energy "escapes" the building and doesn't nurture the business and animals.

10. The outside play yard needs "connecting" to the main building. This is done transcendentally from my office or I come on site and do ceremonies. A Rice Blessing and more.

11. Many kennel doors look as if they swing into each other, this can cause "arguing or biting attitude" not only with the animals but staff. Placing a rooster mural or mobile at the end of these corridors can stop the problem. We'll talk about why. (Continued next week)
