Expanding Business with Feng Shui

I have lived long enough to know that when life seems impossible on many levels, it is time to celebrate, because you have reached the bottom and there is no where to go but up. If you have the courage to change the way you do business, and support your new ideas with Feng Shui, you will have success. I have been writing about Feng Shui for 12 years through this newspaper column, before email was considered the only way to communicate. Clients who keep in touch and apply my advice have taken a look at how they do business, reevaluated their companies, cut out things that didn’t work for them last year and now are expanding and leaping forward with the energy of the Metal Tiger.

Here is some of the dialogue through email and phone calls about the expansion of a client’s business in another country. He and his partner now develop technology and build the product. They started very small and now are world renown.

Currently I am helping my client’s design employee put together an office in China for approximately 30 office workers and engineers.

Our talents as individuals now belong to the world, as the planet is suffering on all levels and needs everyone to participate. My knowledge is to help build structures that support life in a healthy way. To be of help, healing must start at home, one person at a time. I will be teaching a “To-Do List” to change your Chi, called “9 Ways for 9 Days” in Benicia on April 7th. Please call the number below to reserve a seat.

The young man designed four different floor plans for the 1200 sq. ft office in Adobe and PowerPoint. None of them provided the proper layout for Feng Shui. I finally did a drawing for the offices, scanned them and sent over to China in seconds. They liked it, and followed 85 % of my ideas. Now they have a footprint for success. I am back to explaining the ancient template, its Elements, Colors, Shapes and Energies needed for balance and harmony. I sent several photos for examples and my Art Bagua which can be found on my website, www.fengshuiartistry.com.

Hi again,

This is a Bagua I put together a few years ago for people to understand the colors and elements and how they line up to bring all life’s aspects into a structure.

The dark blue-black section is lined up with the front entry to your offices.

Start at the Blue-Black color and the oil painting of water I placed in this Gua or section.

Black is representing the Water Element, which brings opportunities to a house or a business. Having a water fountain in a round shape in the lobby will take care of this. It doesn’t mean you have to paint the walls near the entry Black, but some clients choose to use these accent colors to help the flow of Chi. The corner of the lobby to the left is called Knowledge and is a mountain area, Blue-green is the color.

Using red on the entry wall will bring prosperity, but needs to be balanced with green plants to balance the Fire element of red, or it will “burn up” Family and Money, which is also is the particle wall to the left middle from the front entry.

Look at the art Bagua as a guide. Go counter-clockwise to see the constructive cycle or growth cycle of Feng Shui when this template is place over the entire floor plan.

A Bagua can be stretched like a rubber band to fill any space. I will send another drawing from a client to give you an example.

The CEO’s office should have purple, gold and some green, with some coins, possibly another fountain, etc.

The conference room, which I placed in the Fame area since it couldn’t be placed in the Helpful People side of the space, should have some purple and red. A dragon picture or pictures of horses or statues of these would bring this kind of energy to the Fame or red section wall of the conference room. A copy of my Zodiac animal painting in this room will keep everyone communicating. This room should also have very good lighting and some green bamboo plants and a bowl of 27 oranges in the middle of the table preferably. This will represent money, health and prosperity.

The walls of the workers’ room should be light tones of creamy yellow for the earth Guas of Partnership, with a company picture of everyone in the far back right corner. Two cranes are good for this corner. The middle of the Bagua is the Tai Chi and is lively earth tones such as yellows, etc. So the desks would be better if they are a light wood color, pine or light bamboo color. When we get to crystals (round faceted, only the best quality), one should be hung in the center of the work office, 70mm at least. I can help you get this through a friend. I use to sell them in my Feng Shui Shoppe, but sold my store seven years ago and now have a mentoring student who is selling them to our clients at a better price than other places.

All chairs should have solid back that cover the workers’ backs. This will keep them healthy and give them no cause to have back injuries. You don’t want lawsuits. We can either apply the Feng Shui now as the office is built or do cures later, but it is best to do the right things now and not have to “cure” the elements and colors.

As you continue to go clockwise around the Bagua, the section called Children and Creativity comes next, which is the Gua of Metal and round shapes. Round metal clocks with world times could be hung to bring business from around the world. White, silver and gold are the colors, sometimes pastels.

The last Gua is called Helpful People and Travel. A large world map or round globe of the world should be placed in this Gray section. This is a very powerful corner which is known as the Heaven section. This corner will bring help from Heaven to Earth.

These are some of the suggestions to help in your decisions. Please take them into consideration for the best outcome. You can see the various ways Feng Shui can be incorporated into living and working spaces. As I said before, you don’t need to paint all the walls these colors, but should bring in balanced items, through color, shape, light, sound and art.

These are some ideas to get you started, the “transcendental enhancements” will come later.

I am sending some more ideas for you to look at. Please go to my website www.fengshuiartistry.com to see some of the art I have created to bring the Elements into homes and businesses.

Wishing you good luck and smooth Chi!
