West Meets East© By Caroline Patrick BorNei Feng Shui Evaluation
The Chi or energy of Northern California continues to call to me and I respond with glee. Seeing friends and colleagues feeds my spirit and strengthens my soul. On my recent trip to the Bay Area, I took some time to see the sites in San Francisco and visit friends. I am beginning to understand that all work and no play give me cranky Chi. It is especially great to revisit and reevaluate clients homes and businesses. These faithful followers of Feng Shui have continued to use Feng Shui as a great tool for happiness and change. The byproduct of using these ancient tools in todays world is support and abundance. Fear takes a back seat when you know what signs to watch for. Below is an evaluation from one of my former clients and current friend. Every case is different and every cure is different. Advanced Feng Shui principles cannot be found in books and they are passed down directly from Master to student, so I am not at liberty to give out too much information on some of these methods until you ask for a private consultation that is specialized just for you and your family. So here are some of the notes which I am able to share. I hope they may shed some light on your situation.
Hi again,
It was a pleasure to see you again and I hope all is going well. I wanted to send you the translation of the notes taken by my longtime friend and colleague, who assists me during Feng Shui consultations when I am in town.
As our life changes and evolves it is beneficial to realign the house you live in to support those changes. So I am glad to take another look at your house based on your new intentions, your joys and problems which have shifted since my last visit. Feng Shui is the greatest tool I have learned and I us some form of it daily for Career, Family issues, financial decisions, Health problems and more. Each of the 8 sections of the Bagua reflects aspects of our lives. The ancient octagonal shape continues to record our strengths and weaknesses as the center of the wheel ties our hopes, desires, actions, vibrations, colors, seasons, body parts and the 5 main Elements of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water, just to name a few. The middle or center is referred to as the Tai Chi or 9th aspect of the Bagua. When everything seems right with the world, the force of Yin and Yang is in balance. When it is out of adjustment, the Wheel of Life seems like a flat tire! I must admit I have experienced many flat tires!
Since you have your color-coded mapped floor plan, I will refer to the corrections and enhancement we talked about according to the Gua or section and color.
I understand the stress of caring for your Mother for so long and the pressure it put on your body. Caring for our elderly parents is something no one really understands until it happens. I will address your back issues, your creative dreams and the wish for a new Partnership. Some of the cures I suggest wont seem to relate directly to these wishes and intentions, but they do have a relationship with the constructive cycle of the ever-changing Bagua or template placed over your current home. It is similar to the star shape we learned to draw as a child. Even though the lines and points went to extreme opposite sides of the paper, the finished design was just one long line, brought together in a magical sequence. So too does the octagons constructive and destructive cycle talk when seen on the house design called a floor plan. This is why I love to design Feng Shui-friendly homes and remodels for families, so any tension in a floor plan is removed.
CAREER: 1. Starting at the front entry, we talked about your kitchen greenhouse window. You wanted me to design a large stained-glass piece to go in the opening instead of plants, which got too much sun and didnt thrive very well. This is a great idea, especially since you will be the glass artist. We talked about this being near the front entry to your townhouse and it would also provide privacy without losing any light. I have sent you some photos by email of some Koi fish I painted on canvas to get an idea for future reference to color which would enhance the Water Element or Career of your house. Fish also represent abundance. I think you decided to wait for a while, as repairs are needed upstairs with the plumbing leaks.
2. It is always to your advantage to use the front door more often. Invite new fresh opportunities by using the front door. The architectural entrance is the Mouth of Chi.
3. We discussed the color of the front door.
FAMILY AND WEALTH: We talked over a few things about these areas. Please refer to the drawing I will send you by mail. Look at the Green Wood Element areas for ideas.
Check the Purple areas for more information on money.
FAME: Your reputation seems very good. It is enhanced by light. Be sure to use lights and lighting where necessary, such as raising the Chi.
HEALTH: 1. Dandelion tea or better yet tincture is good for Wood Element people, especially the Monkey. It helps the bladder and liver, you can read more on this using the internet.
2. Will send you a back cure.
3. Get a new office chair for Health, Wealth and Prosperity.
4. Tighten banister for many reasons.
5. Move anything under the bed for Health reasons, which are numerous.
6. Sending cures for the other health problems, each with their own element correction.
7. Place a wind chime at the top of stairs as we discussed and why
8. Do the Heart Sutra Mantra Chant (see notes below); this saved my life!
9. We will do the rest of these cures by phone, as they are called the secret of secrets.
PARTNERSHIP: 1. Place mirror where I indicated. It will bring in the backyard vital energy of all the growing plants and create a new energy.
2. Create an Altar or placement using pairs of objects, such as cranes or mandarin ducks, in the area of your TV. Invite pink into this area and the bedroom. As we discussed, write out your wishes on a beautiful piece of paper and include the wording according to our talk. Also date the note. Place a night light in that corner to activate.
CHILDREN AND CREATIVITY: 1. Your fireplace lives in this section. Fire melts METAL which is the Element of Children and Creativity. A water element is needed somewhere in this area to balance the cycle of creativity. I have listed the cures.
HELPFUL PEOPLE AND TRAVEL: 1. This is the most yang corner of your house. It is the male ancestor and prayer corner of your home. I always make an altar in this section. Use the objects we chose to bring answers to your prayers.
BACKYARD: 1. You can extend any Gua or section of the Bagua into your back area to double the enhancements.
Notes: 1. Look at the color codes to match up the cures.
2. Always trick sick or death Chi when visiting a funeral home or service or visiting sick people. I will explain more if you desire.
3. Place crystals where they are marked. 50 mm round faceted ones are recommended, but 40mm will do in the smaller areas.
4. Place wind chimes where indicated. They must be hollow metal.
Thanks so much for inviting my dear friends to the Center in Walnut Creek and for passing on my name to your friend. There may be a trip to India and Bhutan in 2012, so keep in touch about that if you want. It was a very wonderful trip and I look forward to your questions. I will mail the 2nd drawing to you next week. Our September 14th Trip to the Middle Kingdom of Tibet will start in China and cross over into Tibet mid-trip.
