Client Feedback on Feng Shui Results

Client feedback is the happy part of my job. Ninety percent of my consultations result in favorable life changes – when the adjustments are made. It may not seem important to hang that 30, 40, or 50mm lead crystal in the corners that the consultant suggests, or place a mirror on a particular wall. The sooner the adjustment is made, the sooner the energy or Chi is redirected. The waves of energy put out by the lead crystal invisibly send the breath of life to the dead spaces in your home. A person doesn’t question the source or the ability of a kitchen light switch to bring an instant glow of energy into the room. Both sources are invisible but powerful. Color is also powerful and can change a living or working space into a grounding atmosphere if you follow a knowledgeable consultant’s advice. Placing the wrong colors in the wrong zones can cause what we call destructive Chi. The Bagua, or 8-sided octagonal grid, is a mathematical system used for balance by almost every culture. Feng Shui gives action to this ever-changing shape. Using light, color, sound and the five elements known as water, wood, fire, metal, and earth provide keys which can open doors to harmony in the environment, our physical health and a spiritual connection needed for the flow of “wind and water.” Please read one special email feedback from a lovely young woman I had the pleasure of meeting many months ago. She listened, put the corrections in place, and is now enjoying the rewards of harmony and balance.

Dear Caroline,

You asked me to write you about the wonderful Feng Shui Consultation you did for us, and I’m finally getting around to it. In April this year, my husband was laid off after 16 years managing the same restaurant, and we consequently had to sell our house in a nearby city, and are now renting a small apartment in a university city where we had always wanted to live.

My husband has been depressed for several years, but his depression hit a peak in the time we lived in our house in a nearby city (for 2 1/2 years). He became very sedentary, did not want to engage in activities, and generally became very withdrawn. Towards the end of our stay there, the relationship became so “empty” I seriously considered leaving him. I also felt sad a lot, and did not enjoy spending time in our house. Apart from that, we saw the beginnings of a police “shootout” in the house next door, and there were always cats and dogs doing business in our yard that belongs in a litter box.

When I consulted Caroline, I was hoping to get a general “tune-up” of the new space we moved into, but also to try to save our failing relationship, and understand the reasons for it, so I would do my best to prevent this in the future.

Caroline and I talked for a while about our apartment, which is secluded from the street, and therefore gives our relationship time to heal. She had a lot of suggestions about potential problems, one being that our toilet is located in the wealth corner, and the other, that we had been putting our son’s bed into the “ruler of the house” position in the bedroom. As soon as we switched our bed for his, his tantrums (he is now 3 1/2 years old) decreased, and we slept and

felt better. I placed bamboo and purple towels into the wealth corner, and put rice in a bowl underneath the toilet, and this makes a big difference in how we feel about and treat this special space. As Caroline was asking about our previous living spaces, the conversation became very, very interesting to me.

First of all, our former house’s last occupants were a couple that separated and divorced while living there (big “karma” to deal with), the relationship space was a “dead” corner in a big dining room at the back of the house, and the fire corner had a toilet in it, and non-draining stinky soil outside of it (due to a faulty drainage pipe). The wealth corner was in the bedroom above our bed, unadorned. The helpful people space was packed with tools and instruments in the garage – no room to have helpful friends. Also, the way the walls (a wall facing the front door as you enter the living room) were built in the living room, made it very hard for the Chi to fully circulate and keep moving.

Caroline also listened a lot to my husband’s problems and had some very helpful suggestions for our relationship. Our house, at the time of the consultation, had been on the market for 1 1/2 months, with one potential buyer, who wanted more and more money for repairs. Her offer finally fell through because she could not sell her building on time. Four days after I made the changes Caroline wanted me to make at the house (place business cards of real estate agency into silver bowl into cardboard box in a specific location in the garage, put red flowers on the porch, clear the energy in the house by burning sage and opening the windows), we had one great offer, and the next day another offer from a buyer, who was willing to stay in second place (in case the first offer fell through). There were no consequent problems with this first offer, and the house was sold one month later (for more than the asking price).

Our relationship is much, much better now, our son is a joy to be with, I am making more money in my two businesses than ever, and even though my husband does not have another job yet (he hasn’t looked that much yet), he is a happier person, and loves being home with our son. (He recently started going to counseling, which he enjoys).

I feel that this consultation has made a tremendous difference in our lives. I’ve learned many lessons from the way our spaces used to look like, and feel much more aware of the flow of energy now. I recommend Caroline’s quiet, intuitive, yet sharp skills to anyone wondering about Feng Shui.

A Happy Client
