West Meets East© By Caroline Patrick Changing Peoples Hearts with Home Adjustments
Each day science discovers more amazing ways the heart is connected to how we think, feel and react. Weather, our diet and the environment also contribute to the health of the most important organ in the body. Every culture sings songs, writes books and poetry about the affairs of the heart. Asian cultures refer to having someone in your heart. And if someone is in your heart, as in a love relationship, there is no room for another person, as that space is taken. Of course, there is room for family, friends, causes and pets, but romantic love of the heart, is a serious commitment between man and woman or Yin and Yang, for conception to happen.
So there is physical, spiritual and metaphysical love. Spaces for these emotions and body parts and their interaction with time, space and spirit have been included in the ancient Chinese Bagua. This eight-sided and sectioned wheel, or Mandela, is a perfect mathematical formula of life situations and elements such as Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. All eight pieces plus a center section house aspects such as Wood, the color green, a column symbol representing tree trunks and a body parts or the feet and legs.
Fire is the second Element. Red is the color. Reputation is the aspect and eyes are the physical human element. Earth is square and yellow and represents Health. Things made from earth such as tile and pottery can be used in the middle of the house to invite good health. Other organs not found in the other eight Guas, such as the heart, are located here. Metal comes next with the color of white and pastels. Round is the shape, and lungs belong to this area. Water, of course, is very necessary for life, and it has a home at your front door. Opportunities are welcomed here. Black and blue/black invite the depths of Water, and the ears are located at the front door.
There are only five Elements, but nine sections. Each of the nine sections also has body parts, such as hips for Wealth. No wonder my hips hurt when more money seems to be going out the door than coming in. I could write volumes of what I have personally learned about this subject. The main reason people want a Feng Shui consultation is that money is running away from them. Every Gua needs balancing for a continuous smooth flow of revenue.
Since the center of the house or business contains other organs and the heart included, we must keep a close watch on this vital area. A bathroom in the middle of a house depletes all other Guas or sections. Mirroring the inside of the whole bathroom is advised, as this treats this center and the heart in a transcendental way, or a way which we really dont see, but feel. A 50mm or more round faceted quartz crystal hung in the center of the house is another great way to balance any house. Each facet sends out thousands of colored lights, forcing a circular field of energy outward. Crystals are the motors that run the engines and active the cure. Even if you dont do anything else I advise, please humor me and hang one large round, real crystal in the center of the house, whether it is a hallway, bathroom or dining room. I have seen immediate changes take place in the household or business. People communicate, children heal, and love comes back into a space. Then, clear clutter from the other areas, while this giant does its thing! Call me for other physical problems and house adjustments, which can help the situation. I will locate bad detail designs, such as entry overhangs and slanting ceilings and walls and give cures for the area.
Dont forget the clutter of your mouth. Every word or thought heals or hurts your heart. Gossip destroys and tears away at your body and spiritually takes you down. Sickness thrives in this muck of put-downs. Do Not Gossip is actually a Buddhist commandment, similar to Christianitys Ten Commandments of the Holy Bible. Teach your children the harm of not only physical abuse, but also mental abuse with language. Worry is another destroyer of the body, both physically and spiritually. Review what you are putting out there. Is it love or attitude, which is fear gone wild!
I felt compelled to write about this subject after witnessing the anger and fear clients are feeling and how it is attacking their bodies. Illness, lawsuits, divorce, and job loss are part of the plague. We can use Feng Shui to shift these problems, but you must educate yourself on how clutter in the home can, for example, clog the veins of the heart. How thoughts of revenge can boom-a-rang. Use Feng Shui first to solve problems. Get a consultation to see what is happening. Floor plans can support or harm its residents. I have recently been asked to review architectural renderings for a company. I am so happy that Feng Shui is now a serious subject in the US. The West is now catching up with the other side of the world.
