Career and Wealth Questions

Dear Caroline,

Hi there. I have been enjoying your website very much. Your work is awesome. I am hoping to be able to have an appointment with you sometime very soon. I am trying to figure out what would be considered my front door on our new home but can’t seem to get it. The home is pretty much a box with the door in the middle of one wall, but a sunroom was built on the whole front side of the home but with a door at one end of the sunroom instead of directly opposite the original front door. It was all built at the same time. Since where the entrance door is makes a difference, I am not sure which one it is. Is there a hard and fast rule in figuring that kind of thing out? Also, does it matter what direction things face, like north, south, east, west? Thanks if you can help.

Thanks for the question. I would almost have to see the house and street location. Many mobile and modular houses have that type of porch situation. Most of the time I line up the Bagua with the large keyed front door, but take into consideration the roof and porch as an extension, which would enhance career. Is the porch beautiful? I hope so.

Show the energy how to make the turn into the main house door, similar to training a child, by entering this way as often as possible. We use black, blue and gray round planters to represent the element of water around the front of the home. Teaching the breath of life how to enter your environment, use red to attract good Chi. How is your Career?

I practice the form of Feng Shui called Black Hat, which allows north, the home of the Water Element and the Career Zone, to line up with the front entrance, regardless of physical directions.

Hey there,

I’m looking to move into a house number 18. What’s the meaning of this number please?

Hi,

You picked an auspicious number. The Chinese consider a 9 lucky (1 + 8 = 9). Prosperity and abundance follow this vibration energy, unless there are other situations in the far back left corner of the structure. Use wealth type enhancements here. A fish tank, mirror, crystals or a water picture helps to activate this section.

Clutter in any area of the home or outer buildings will cause stagnation and cut down on the flow of chi. Compare the dwelling to your body. Don’t constrict the veins or arteries of the system.

Hi,

I was on your website this weekend. It is a treasure! I would like to learn more about Feng Shui. What books are the best? Also I have just moved into a condo. The stairway is shared with another person on the top floor. What can I do at the front door of my side to help get a raise?

I’m glad you found the site. On the second site which can be accessed from the main one {fengshuiartistry.com} is moongateschool.com which contains schedules for classes, Customized Mentoring or private instruction and an archives of WEST MEETS EAST newspaper articles which answer many of your Feng Shui questions is available. I also have classes several times a year in Feng Shui related subjects.

There are many wonderful and confusing Feng Shui books on the market. The reason for the confusion comes from the different schools of thought: Geomancy, Form School, Pyramid School, Compass and others. I suggest you choose which school appeals to you the most. I found Black Sect works wonderfully in the United States. Books by authors such as Sarah Rossbach and Master Lin Yun are excellent reading. Sarah is the author of four well known books: Feng Shui: The Chinese Art of Placement; Living Design with Feng Shui; Living Color and Feng Shui Design Interiors, Landscape and Architecture (coauthored by Professor Lin Yun, distinguished Buddhist scholar, philosopher and calligrapher and the leading authority and leader of the Black Sect Tantric Buddhism). Terah Katherine Collins’ books are easy to understand along with Denise Linn and Karen Kingston, who have pulled several schools of thought together forming classical ways to enhance your environment and change your life.

Condo living can be convenient and I have lived in several. Whether you have an upstairs or downstairs unit or a combination of both take into consideration and select the one that feels best. If possible find out the reason the other occupants moved on.

Many times I find condos, townhouses and apartments have a bathroom in the far back left wealth corner. This arrangement seems to be a pervasive type of floor plan keeping your full money making capabilities at bay! Why? Could it be a landlord type of floor plan? Something to consider before buying.

Although you share the stairway with a neighbor, it still is your pathway to job opportunities. Have a chat with this person. Ask if he/she minds if you place a few colorful flowers up the stairway. Stairways allow energy to flow from one floor to another. The transition should be gradual and inviting, as to slow down the Chi and invite a steady even flow. Hang a round faceted lead crystal halfway between floors. Use a mirror at the top of the stairway for good results. Place a fountain outside facing the house as if the Water is a river of money and opportunity coming to your door!

P.S. Always keep the fountain running and clean.

Come Join the Fun! October 5th, 7-9 pm in Benicia. Email for class information or to sign up. Seating is limited as we will be meeting in a wonderful local home. I will be giving a class WEALTH and DESIGN DETAILS which can cause ILLNESS. All new material............Increase your knowledge of how you can help yourself and family.
