California Trip for Feng Shui My recent trip to the Bay Area was wonderful. Seeing friends, students, clients and colleagues truly gives me a spring jump start. This section of California has great energy and refreshing Chi. The three-week work/play schedule was packed with teaching workshops in Benicia and Redding, California; consultations every day from Vallejo and Napa to Berkeley, Sacramento and up to Redding. Old and new clients still want to use the ancient balance of Feng Shui principles to support and change their lives. We had dinner in and dinner out...and sometimes a Power Bar on the run, making sure everyone who wanted information got their questions answered. Im blessed to have good friends who treat me very well and spoil me with a wonderful bed and kitchen privileges! For a guest to feel at home while on the road, shows mastery of the host. I want to thank those who put me up and put up with me! They are true friends indeed...
Below are some questions from a friend/client who booked a consultation while I was in town. She agreed that I could share her questions as they may benefit other readers. I will tell you more about the trip to Benicia and the life changing experiences in a later column, so stay tuned, but for now here are some observations which came to light for a woman and her husband during this new home consultation. He has been very sick and I was looking for the reasons why, then giving cures and corrections for this water side home. My mentoring student of three years was on-site taking notes, as the best way to learn to be a consultant is to be on-site seeing the land, the house, building, environment and the seeing the way of wind and water through the eyes of an experienced practitioner. My years with my teacher, Grandmaster Lin Yun, the head of Black Sect Tibetan Feng Shui, in the context of workshops in the U.S., China and Taiwan, are priceless.
Here is the next phase of a consultation, the email or phone call follow-up.
Greetings!
I hope that the rest of your trip went well. I have been busy with finding just the right corrections. I found some great yellow fabric and have prepared the 9 items to stabilize the bed, especially the health. Here are some quick questions.
Question: 1. In the family section under the mattress, should I use some family pictures? I have some wonderful greenery (small), but I wondered about putting pictures under us while we sleep.
Answer: No, just use a crystal or special Feng Shui flute with the root section still on the flute. I have a three-year student who now is carrying special round-faceted crystals, Feng Shui flutes, mirrors, 5 Element jewelry, magic eggs, etc. Call Michelle at (530) 515-5694 and leave a message. She will call you back. Her items are blessed and activated.
Question: 2. Also, I found a bamboo bead curtain for the mirrored closet doors and I like it a lot. It is fairly lacey and does not cover the mirror. Does it still represent the interruption of any sha or overactive chi across our feet when in bed or do I need something more solid?
Answer: This is a great cure. Im glad you found this curtain, which will help the problem. Bamboo is very special as it can be use in many, many cures, as it is solid, flexible and supports most all the aspects of the Bagua.
Question: 3. Could the fabric that represents the separation of the bathroom from the bedroom be paper? I mean the piece that hangs down from the ceiling across to separate the dressing/sink area from the rest of the bedroom. I have some really cool Asian-inspired papers that I could use if you think that would be alright.
Answer: This would work to separate the open bathroom/bedroom design, which causes health and marriage problems.
Question: 4. We love the idea of the cat box under the sink. Is there any correction we should put under there with it? We are going to just remove the right-hand door for easier access and to preserve the door should we not need it anymore. We have got the cat box to the other side of the room already and figure in a few days, it will be under the sink!
Answer: Maybe a green plant close by. Im glad you liked the idea that one of my clients came up with. Hiding the litter box is always a problem. This works great under the bathroom sink. She also put a sign over the kitty door/cabinet door (with a cut-out for the kitty to come and go) that said Kitty Station!
Everything else is done except for the purchase of the flutes (they are on the way) [ She purchased ones that didnt have the root section, so she will reorder from Michelle] and the small chimes over my head in the kitchen. Mirrors are all in place, 9 bits of colored items are ready for under the bed, greenery is under control outside etc.
It was great to see you. Thanks so much for your time and knowledge. You have made a difference in our lives. Love....
It was a pleasure and call or email me if you have more questions. Let me know how everyone is doing. Blessings, Caroline
I like to stay in touch to see how cures are working. If there are more problems, there are many other ones to try. There are different cures for every person. Each person carries a different Chi, such as depleted Wood, still Water, or blocked creativity, which is Metal exhausted. It is my responsibility to read the Chi and respond to each individual accordingly.
