Being Helpful Brings Feng Shui Benefits

If you haven’t noticed, the whole world is not about YOU. There are other people living and working on the same planet. The Karma of give and take is alive and well. Helping others by networking is a great way to keep the energy flowing to your front door which is the Career Zone of your house. The formula for success and happiness is to create love, luck and do good deeds. What can you do to make the world a better place? First clean out all clutter. Excess comes in many packages –holding onto … too many books, too many dishes, too many clothes, and wanting control centered on greed, anger, fear, money, jealousy, drinking, gambling, talking and not listening.

Give away excess possessions and free yourself from heavy thoughts. Having to be right all the time is a destructive formula destined for despair, sickness and bad luck. I find helping friends is one way to be a Helpful Person and in turn my health improves and my mind clears. Add a picture with angels in this Heaven Gua to help with your prayers. To locate your Helpful People Section of your house, look to the right side corner of your house when entering the front door. If this area is “missing” or is a clutter garage, it is a sure sign Helpful People can’t find their way to your home.

Recommending your favorite teachers is being a Helpful Person. This brings both of you success and exposure in new communities. The exchange of Chi by giving and receiving activates and circulates good deeds. Now, having said that, I am particular about who I recommend. I must feel a heart connection with the teacher’s abilities and spiritual growth. Just living day to day is hard for some individuals. Life has not treated them well and so a harsh teacher, counselor, therapist, business partner, spouse, doctor or workshop leader will not be beneficial in their recovery. Learning to read a person’s Chi is an art which takes years to cultivate, and good teachers have this ability. Below is an email from such a person who asks me to share her flyer of upcoming classes.

Caroline,

Hi ... just wanted you to know about the next Senior Center Series ... and drum roll, please ...YES, now even advertising in THE Local magazine YIPPEE!! ... Appreciate your sharing this flyer ... Happy New Year!!

With Gratitude & Blessings, J.

“Hi to you! Yes I would be happy to pass your email flyer to all my clients,” I wrote back. I quickly sent out her flyer to many people, clients and new students from working in this area the last five years. Some names were from local Skagit Valley College; Parks and Rec facilities in Anacortes, Arlington, Marysville, some locations in Mt. Vernon. I also added Bellingham and Seattle in Washington State, where I will teach Feng Shui, art and herbal workshops this spring. Including an introductory header about my friend I gladly “fired off” the information.

INTRODUCTION:

This is a great class from a wonderful person, who I have known for quite a while. She loves to be of service and gives from her heart. I met J. in California over 12 years ago. She was one of my first Feng Shui clients and took many classes from me over several years and worked in my Shoppe to help out during busy times. Her family is from the San Juan Islands. She moved back to the Northwest a few years ago and so here we are living in the same location once again … Synchronicity at work!

She is very a qualified, accredited Tai Chi instructor who will give you love and a good laugh at every session. Give yourself a special New Year’s treat just by meeting this vivacious lady! Happy Chi...

FLYER: T'AI CHI CHIH is a series of 20 simple non-strenuous movements that relax the body and refresh the mind. Circulating and balancing the Chi, the Vital Energy within us, these gentle movements promote physical, mental and emotional health. The form is easy to learn and the benefits are experienced soon after beginning the practice. The movements can be performed wherever there is enough space to stand and take one step in either direction, need no special equipment or clothing, and can be performed by anyone regardless of their age or physical condition.

As a moving meditation, T'AI CHI CHIH is a gentle yet very powerful centering experience in which the body also gets to participate. By centering ourselves and balancing the Chi, we experience health, harmony and wholeness in our bodies and in our lives.

Potential Benefits of regular T'AI CHI CHIH practice include: Improved coordination, balance and athletic performance; stress release, relaxation and a feeling of well-being; increased creativity and productivity; improved physical health; and increased self-esteem.

No wonder Consumer Reports refers to T'AI CHI as “... the ultimate low-impact exercise.”

After the emailed flyer was sent out, several of the people joined her class, but here is a response from a former Feng Shui client who not only enjoyed J’s class, but filled me in on the current success of the Feng Shui Consultation advice I gave for her family’s needs and goals. Please continue reading the following:

Hi Caroline,

Just wanted to say hello. I went to J.’s class on Thursday – she is a kick! I plan to go back as often as I can.

I want to tell you the story of my husband’s office. He was hesitant to do all the cures we

had talked about. I went out and bought what he needed and put every thing in place except for the mirror. It was too heavy for me, and he said he would put it up. That was in June and that dragged on for months – I would go there and the mirror was on the floor. I asked as often as I could without becoming a nag. His job applications were being rejected and his current employer was looking past him at every turn.

Then he ran for Fire Commissioner – don’t know if you saw that in the newspaper. It got a lot of attention. Anyway, I finally said, “You must put the mirror up before the election! Please!” Well, he did and he won despite many faux pas and little things that seemed to be threatening his race. Not only that, but he is finally being given the position that he has been wanting in the other city he had wanted all these years. So, looks like it works to me. =)

Thanks, Caroline, may you have the five happiness’s in the New Year: Long Life, Love, Good Health, Wealth and Good Fortune

Love, P.

PS: I also opened my art studio after following your Feng Shui advice.

In closing, choose those who you hang out with, as they will “rub off” on you. Why? Because energy is energy is energy. Chi flows invisibly in our environment, within our homes, businesses and our bodies. Don’t accept negative surroundings unless you are ready to take on others’ problems! Give freely with a pure heart. I will repeat, with a pure heart! That is the secret. Set a time and space for prayers and meditation. This will strengthen your Chi so you may be helpful to yourself and others.
