Another New Year, How Did That Happen?
I really wanted to stay in bed this morning. It was a perfect day for bumming around as my mother use to say. Looking out the windows at my new loft made me very happy. They are over fifteen feet high. Birds swirl over and around the rooftops, landing in the treetops. They seem to be gossiping and appear very busy. I guess I would be too, if breakfast was a few grains of rained-on weed seeds. I think birds must work as hard as ants with all that flying around. At night the Big Dipper shines and Orion, the constellation, stands tall above the Portland building. The Blue Moon floods brilliant blue/white light into the condo. The silence is deafening and the view surreal. I cant stop smiling. I give myself permission to sleep, turning away from the ancient night light, then sleep some more.
Can it be another New Year? How did this one slip up on me? I asked myself. Sometimes lying down feels good, until you try to get up. The next morning I felt dizzy and nauseous when trying to stand. Oh yes, I remember now. I ate pudding, I heard myself say to myself. Milk and sugar are a deadly mix for me. I staggered to the kitchen sink and took some dandelion root and leaf tincture. The liver needed help quickly and bitters are the best thing to turn an acid system into alkaline. Now to the showers, I determined.
Water helps all ills and my body felt a lot better after the shower. Next I headed to the computer to see what todays mailbox contained. There were several self-help New Year Resolution newsletters, including some Feng Shui advice columns. Same stuff, wash your crystals, de-clutter, and polish mirrors. There is so much more to Feng Shui than this, I muttered. I pulled out a pen and paper and wrote:
Do good deeds. Dont eat things that make you sick. Call a friend who needs someone to talk with. Dont get tattoos or piercings which alter your destiny. Toss out dead plants. Do prayers and ceremony such as the Lords Prayer 108 times. Open the doors and windows for as long as possible to let in new Chi. Chant sacred Mantras 9 times, 3 times a day. Look upward when using the bathroom, so your bodys energy doesnt deplete. Hug your children. Stop gossiping. Stop arguing. Stop criticizing. Clean things out from under beds, so Chi can flow under and around your body for good health. Move your headboard away from a chimney or from a toilet in the next room. Answer the phone for business opportunities. Write a new Bio for all the Feng Shui Directories to give them your new address and phone number. Contact and touch base with clients on your new winter and spring jobs in Arizona, California and Oregon. Stop procrastinating. I opened Windows on the computer and begin typing.

Caroline Patrick Bor Nei brings the experience of over 5000 consultations to your home and business. Traveling to China and Taiwan with Professor Lin Yin and China a second time with Helen and James Jay transformed her practice yet again. Carolines knowledge of Feng Shui is profound, especially when giving mundane and transcendental cures for interior and exteriors of living and working spaces. She has helped many people understand The Art of Placement through lectures, teaching, herbal workshops, writing, book illustration and mastery of sacred art through murals and paintings. His Holiness Grandmaster Thomas Lin Yun, leader of The Black Sect Tantric Buddhist School, recently wrote about Ms. Patricks understanding of color and its effect. Among my disciples, Caroline has already attained the indigo color and has surpassed many predecessors. She understands the concept of harmony and balance and the smooth flow of Chi.

The day flew by. I accomplished my daily mission. Time to watch the clouds and evening mist sink into the tall green pine trees. How beautiful. I feel like painting this scene. Maybe tomorrow. The day ended. Christmas lights twinkled on housetops, bringing the Element of Fire to the neighborhood. Oh yes, I thought. Write a PS to your list. I will be in Benicia, California in April for consultations and/or classes. Have people call or email if they are interested. I turned out the lights of the loft, but pink light now filled the space, reflecting Portlands nightlife. Wow, another surreal view, I whispered.
Greetings to all,
