Questions and Answers from Affordable Feng Shui Phone Consultations

Phone consultations are a great affordable way to treat yourself to a better life. They can be done easily from your home without dressing up or feeling you must have your house spotless before the Feng Shui Consultant arrives. I benefit also by saving mileage, gas and freeway driving! Many clients prefer using the phone or phone and email evaluation. It is quick and can turn your life around, sometimes in an hour. I will “walk” you through your own home or business finding the problems and struggles. Change your luck now, by looking at yourself through the dwelling. The house speaks volumes. Are you ready to listen?

Here are a few questions asked by a recent client. She sent her floor plans via snail mail and pictures of the property and inside the house. I was able to “see” health and reputation issues, career and children struggles, just by looking at the footprint or floor plan of the current house.

Greetings Caroline,

Got your emails today. Have been wanting to email you for a couple days now but been so busy. I was wondering if I can use grey metal bookshelves in the knowledge part?

Yes the shelves are fine.

That area is where the front door is and it sticks as does the screen door. We were wanting to replace that door with a small sliding glass door, would that be ok?

A wood door is always more stable in Feng Shui, but since it is a type of interior door also it could work. Sliding glass doors are very female and not as stable, will explain by phone. If any door sticks, it means opportunities are stuck and in your design, it also is related to money being stuck.

Your major remodel diagram was very interesting but the structure of this house will not allow us to do certain parts of it for sure. So, I started a new diagram that we have been working on for a few years now in the hopes of funds to implement it. I will email it to you when I finish it.

Another thing I wanted to mention or ask about is that we do have an attic that we use to store things in, in a very orderly fashion. Does that have a bearing on the house?

An attic is your spiritual and heavenly self. So ask yourself, what is stored in the attic!

Also, would a cellar room under part of the house have an effect? This would be something that we would still have to build and will be on the new plan.

The basement is your roots of who you are.

I so enjoyed your consultation and am working hard to implement as much as possible. Got the metal windmill and one fountain. Need to move some stuff out before bringing them in, not only to make room but to clear out.

Glad you are enjoying the process. After this is over you will learn a lot about yourself and your relationship with others and your health.

Thank you and have a wonderful weekend,

from Client

Hi again Caroline,

Thanks for your response. I get it now with the stove. I misunderstood what you had told me in our consultation. I thought that I should be facing the door while using the stove.

Yes, it should face the door, but “through the walls,” like Superman could stand at the stove and see the front door through a wall. Placement is also important in the overall house. Fire energy should not be in a Metal Gua, for example, without a cure. But you don’t want to be able to really see the stove from the architectural front door.

If people are doing a remodel, it is a perfect time to rethink why you feel good putting things out of order. We all do it because it feels right, because we have issues. I’m a perfect example. I think we talked about this.

Not a problem, when we redo, if we get to, will move it to the other wall and put fridge where stove is now. That should take care of that problem in the future, that is, if we leave the kitchen here in this part of the house.

I knew you were going to say something about that corner being the wealth corner and being missing.

I would have to look over your last houses to see if you have lacked a Wealth corner in other homes. This would tell me more about how you perceive money.

Maybe we can make the addition wider and not go past the existing building in the back. I will have to think on it somewhat. It is hard to do remodeling with a log home and we desperately need a second bathroom.

Remember, this is a big decision to keep your health. I design floor plans for clients to help them keep all 9 aspects.

Which brings me to another thought. If a home is square or rectangle so all facets are there, if then one would want to add a canopy here and there for various reasons, does that change the whole thing?

Canopies are not solid but are cloth. Canopies aren't considered a part of the structure. Wind and Water can destroy them. Porches are also not part of the floor plan because they are open. If they are built in with walls, then they are part of the building.

I am trying to figure out how we can do what we want to do without a whole lot of financial expense and yet keep and get the Chi flowing like it is supposed to be. It is definitely a challenge.

Last night I thought, how do you deal with a sprawling mansion or a multi-story home? Must really challenge the Chi...

Everything is proportion and balance. If there are many people living in a mansion and the Feng Shui is good, everyone and all aspects benefit, but one person living in a mansion can be fatal. Michael Jackson might fall into that category. Too much space for his immediate small family in comparison to the square footage of the house. You could become “too spacey.”

The popular huge bedroom and bath open floor plans cause too much space for a loving couple. The Chi gets lost and the couple becomes despondent and distant, then the open bathroom plan with no door or curtain leaks bathroom energy into the bed, causing divorce, sickness, etc. Think Mexico, cozy warm earth colors in pinks, corals, yellows for love. Also a cluttered bedroom can cause a lot of the same things for different reasons. Also bed placement must be considered for a healthy marriage, job and money.

Some people just tell me to fix the problems, others want to know why. Either way it works, because curing things, if the client does the cure, helps the issue. Those who want to know why can really work with their issues and doubly benefit.

Have a good weekend, so fun to plan for new futures. Just remember to get rid of everything that doesn’t work or get it fixed so your new life will work. Think where to store or what to do with old lawsuit papers. I always have a reason when I suggest something to you.

Remind me to tell you more about your Helpful People intention bucket. Have you found one yet? A large round silver or shiny silver color container, teapot or ice bucket. I will be back in the office Monday afternoon.

Hi Caroline,

Thanks for the help.

I am attaching a blank layout and one I scribbled on. These are of the proposed add-on we are hoping to do within a couple years, sooner if possible. I know that is a long way off but I like to have a goal and something to look forward to.

It seems your dream house is lacking a wealth corner.

Other things look good. There are two things that will cause major problems:

1. Remember to never put a stove where you can see it when entering the front architectural main door .

2. Second one is to not have a center bathroom. I would certainly figure another place for the laundry, drains and bathroom placement, will talk about this later.

For starters we want a master bedroom in the proper part of the house.

Bedrooms are very important. Example. Early in my career a very successful businesswoman called for an appointment. Though she was successful in most areas of her life she was suddenly having big problems with her second husband of 15 years. They began bickering after moving into their new dream home. I asked if there was anything stored under the master bed, she said no. I enticed her to look and be certain. Taking off her high heels the woman got down on her knees leaned forward to look under the dust ruffle. She freaked out when she found her divorce papers from a previous marriage under her side of the bed and his divorce papers under his side of the bed. They had stored them under the bed when moving and completely forgot to file them. The divorces must have been complicated as the boxes were large. Not a good place to store anything. A bed needs air to circulate and flow to stay healthy.

Another time a woman who had tried to get pregnant for 20 years wanted to see if the Feng Shui of her house might have something to do with her not being able to conceive. She stored empty suitcases under the bed. Empty womb symbology. Are they related? Who knows....

A sewing area would be nice also as I am planning a new business if we can find the help in the garment industry. I want to design a line of clothing for larger women that is flattering to the body instead of the junk in the stores today. We like cute stuff also. I have already got the designs in my head, just have to make the samples which is what my sister will do as she is a better seamstress than I am.

Great ideas about women’s clothes! I’m excited for you. I am getting ready to make me a couple of tops. Can’t find anything I like. I really don't like sewing but can do it and there is no one here who does that.

I need and want a big kitchen also for all my appliances and work room. I had started writing a cookbook a couple years ago but ran out of funds to experiment with the recipes. Still want to do that but it takes a lot of experimenting to get the type of stuff I am doing right.

Right now we have enough to do to get the existing place in order but still need a place for the exercise equipment meanwhile. My sister is coming out to spend a few months to help us get things organized. She and I will need a place to work out as we have vowed to lose some weight with each other’s help.

My job is to keep you healthy, wealthy and wise, but I can only suggest. Exercise rooms are good in some places. It depends what your intention is. To be healthy? To be creative? To have an exercise business?

Thanks again and have a wonderful weekend.

Take care.
